GNOME 3 is better because, when you want to start your apps, you can do it faster than you were ever able to in GNOME 2. In GNOME 3, a user can start any app quickly. Just press the logo key, type the first few letters of the name of the application, and press enter. GNOME 3 will search for it in less time than the user needed to locate the same visual data in GNOME 2. If mouse is preferred, frequently used apps can be pinned to the dash. This is one the many ways that we've made GNOME 3 better. (background music fades)
