Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles Welcome to Vlogmas Day 21! Maro is like "Vlogmas?" We are just making a quick snack of bagels that I got from Costco and we are going to go out for Sushi for lunch. Actually I am so excited. Except they won't let me film so I'm sorry I cant film the for you guys. I got into trouble one time. There was a sign on the wall that said I couldn't flim, but I didn't notice. This is what we are putting on our bagels. Crunchy peanut-butter from IHerb. This is frickin amazing and it is beniimo which is like purple potato and Shikwasa Jam from Okinawa. It's so good. My friend Megan gave this to me and I love it so much. Look at how good that Jam looks. It's delicious. It's kind of sour. It's a nice combination with the peanut-butter. When we get back from Sushi I am going to open this box of surprises from Korea I'm dying to open this. I can't wait to see what's inside. Were back home. The Sushi was amazing like usual. What made it even better is a Santa Pikachu showed up like in the Sushi shop. I could take a bunch of pictures of it on the conveyor belt. It's probably like the best Pokemon pictures I've taken so far. And I caught it so yay! I have like I think I have about nine or ten Christmas Pikachu's. Still not enough to evolve one of them into a Raichu, but I'm getting there. Okay lets open my mail. First I want to open this. This is from my friends Marie and Cory. They are a Korean and Canadian/American couple. They are living in Korea. They run this service called "Korea, curated" So I'm so excited to open this because I've never really had anything like this. I've actually never had like a purely Korean box. The Kawaii box has some Korean stuff in it and some Japanese, but this is all about Korea. So that will be really interesting for me because I already know lots about Japan, but Korea there's still lots of stuff that I'm unfamiliar with. So this is pretty exciting for me. This is so heavy. I wonder what's in here that's so heavy. Woah! There's a lot of stuff in here. Oh my God! I really didn't expect this many things. Ah! This is so exciting. OK. I'm going to start with the letter. Oh. Ok. So this is a specially currated box for me. It says "Although we are a monthly subscription box service this box is what we call a highlight box." "It features some popular Items from our boxes." It features some of the items that they have had in past boxes. "Because we love Indi buisiness we try to focus as much as possible on bringing independant brands artists, designers, publishers and the like "Into international limelight." This is really cool. They say that they have lots of subscribers located over seas. "We take pleasure in offering them options that allow them to discover Korea without sacrificing their religious of moral beliefs. So they have boxes that are appropriate for Muslim subscribers and also ones that cater to vegan subscribers. So that's really cool. I don't know anyother subscription boxes that will do that and make specialized boxes for people. So that's really neat. OK. Let's look at this box and see what kind of items you may get if you subscribe to their subscription service. These are super cute. The top thing is some good fortune pouches stickers. I'm all about stickers. Oh my God. What is this? It's a little cat box. I'ts like a little oragami box, but it turns into a little cube cat. That's super cute It looks like a lucky cat kind of. Oh! Oh it's a post card. A really thick post card. On the back it says a brush painting by Tsun J Lee. Really pretty. This is so cute! Kiomi! Cute. I think it means cute. Did I get my Korean right? That's adorable. It's a hair clip. I really like that. This is a hard cover notebook or youcould use it like a diary. Hair care steam mask. What? Does it steam when you put it on? OK. That's really cool. Oo a book. This is really cool. This is a bilingual book. It is written in both Korean and English. So it has the original Korean on one side and the the English translation on the other. That is so useful for someone who is studying the language. Whether it be English or Korean. That's really nice. I love that. This is one of those body scrubbing gloves. I've heard a lot about like Korean spas and how they like scrub away at your skin. I've never tried it myself. I'm going to use my google translate. Camera feature and see what this says. Maybe. Maybe we should try doing it into English. In English it says. "There are times." I don't know. I'm not quite sure what that means. It you speak Korean and you can explain to me what this means let me know because I'm gonna be forever curious. This one they told me is not vegan, however they put it in there for my fiancee to try. He likes spicy stuff, but this looks like burning death. It's the Super Junior Habanero Ramen. Did Super Junior design this? That's halarious. I've never heard of it. That look's so painful. I'll have to get him to try that. Oo! What's this? With my. It's vegan, cruelty-freeand vegan. Oh my God it's a toothpaste! What? That's awesome! Vegan and cruelty-free toothpaste and on the package it says what can you do with my toothpaste. It gives you a list of all these different things you can use it for. Like drying up pimples, cleaning walls, cleaning CD's. Oh that's so interesting. I'm just going to use it as a toothpaste because I actually need a new one so that's awesome. Luna is enjoying the box. What's that? Are you excited for my new stuff? New stuff. OK. This definitely aught my attention. Is this Kimbop? Oh my God it's a magnetic Kimbop roll. This is so freakin adorable. I love it! Oh my God! Look at how fluffy it is. OK frickin I love this thing. It's so satisfying. I've never had a magnetic plushy. So I gotta keep the cats away from this. Next is "My Daily Routine In Korean" Learn to describe your actions through convenient illustrations. That sound super useful! Oh this is great! Look at this. I love stuff like this. Super useful phrases. It's got cute illustrations to go along with it which is always great. Don't you hate it when you get a language book and it's only text? I sure do! Ha. So this is really cool. To have the scene and all the phrases of what people are doing. Next is oh my God a little pouch. I feel like I've seen this character before. Where have I seen him? It says ajashi face embroidered pocket. So like grandpa face embroidered pocket. This is so cute. Everything really is super well made. These aren't like the cheep toys that you get in other subscription boxes. you can tell that they are definitely high quality. It's not going to fall apart. That's really cute! I love that. Next is "air tag travel luggage set" What? No way! That's super useful. Hey these are cute. This is like the box of my dreams. I love everything in it. This is totally like a subscription box for like adults I want to say. Of course the other ones I got before are also fun for adults, but these are more like mature items. Like books and travel tags! This is so cool. I really needed some of these. Oh what's this? "The Arari Show: surviving in Korea" Oh this is so neat. You can learn Korean culture and Korean laanguage through this claymation show. I love claymation. Oh I cant wait to watch this! It's got subtitles in English, Japanese, Chinese, Russian and Vietnamese. Last but not least we have a toy it looks like. It says "Playgrounders" on the side here. It looks like it's a bear figure and you don't know which one you are going to get. I love blind boxes. OK, which bear do we want guys? It's a robot controlled by a block of tofu and this pastel one is also really cute. Oo it's sealed. Wow it's sealed twice so even if you manage to open the box and peak in the store you would still wouldn't know. What did I get? What did I get guys? Oh! Which one is this? I don't remember seeing that one. Oh yeah! This is Hazmat. The hands remind me of Lego. So this is all the stuff that was inside my surprise box from Korea. This was so much fun! Remember if you do subscribe to the box you won't get this many items. This is just a selection of the type of items that you would get. The smaller box is four to six items and the bigger one is eight to ten items. But I really love all of the things that they gave me. If I hat to pick a couple favorites? I'm leaning towards this just because I love the bright colors. Definitely "My Daily Routine in Korean" I feel like I'm really gonna pick up some Korean phrases from that. And... probably the Kimbop plushy. It is so cute! I really love what you guys are doing with promoting independent artists. This is really fun. So if you guys would like to order your own "Korea Curated" box I'll have the website address down below in the description box. I think this would also make a really good Christmas present for anybody that is interested in Korea. It was a n awesome assortment of products that I think most people would be happy to receive. They really did a good job ofpicking items that anybody would be happy to get. OK shall we open my package from Val? If you guys don't know who Val is, she is my friend from Victoria. We've made several videos together in the past. I don't get to see her often of course. I only get to see her when I go to Canada. She's my really good friend. I love her. It's a tea-shirt. Haha! This is so perfect. I was normal three cats ago. I love that so much! This is gonna be perfect for me in the future when I have like... What would be a normal amount of cats? I guess two or three cats is pretty normal. So maybe when I have like six cats I can start wearing this shirt. Actually if you put together my cats in Canada and my cats here I have six cats. So I guess this is perfect for me. Thank you Val! This is really sweet. I love it! Maro. Maro. Come here. Luna and Maro would also like to say a big thank you to Cory and Marie. They are thoroughly enjoying the cardboard box. Oh my God she looks so cute in there! You're crazy. Your crazy when you're in your box. Your crazy. Maro are you gonna get in the box too? Maro are you gonna get in the box? Get in the box? Did she take your spot? Get on top of her. Are you sad you cant get in your box? Yeah? Kick her out. Kick her out. It's ok. Luna get out of Maro's box. Don't give up Maro. Awe Let's try these sweets! I've been dying to try these. It's desert time. Definitely desert time. Haven't had dinner yet but that's ok. Woah. And this is the Koromitsu and this is Kinako powder. Made from soy beans. This is actually really simole to make yourself. If you can find the ingredients. I was just googling if I was supposed to put the powder or the syrup on first. It looks like it doesn't matter. There were lots of recipes for it. If you have never had Kinako powder before it smells kinda like peanut-butter. Good? mmm. Oishi. This is so good! I'm just doing some boring Youtuber stuff now like updating description boxes with my new mailing address. Making some playlists. And stuff like that. There's lots of like behind the scenes stuff to being a Youtuber that I think people don't really think about. I spend hours doing this kind of stuff. I keep going back to my old videos and switching up the tags because like for the first couple years of Youtube I had no idea what I was doing. The cats have come to help me. Thanks cats. Thanks. More likely they are just here to jump on my laptop. We will see. Dan and I are working on a secret project at the moment. Well mostly Dan because he knows what hes doing and I don't. So you guys will hear some more about that in the new year. Today I have just been mostly doing this kind of stuff on my computer. I was getting ready to do the Q&A and I found this. That's a nice pose Maro. That's a nice pose. They are so weird. Chilling? Chilling? Are you ready for the Q&A? Are you ready for the Q&A Maro? I just realized that I haven't shown Luna Maro's favorite youtube video. Video's for cats. Maro what's that? Your favorite video Maro? Maro. Your favorite video? Come watch. Come watch. I used to play this video when Maro was a kitten and he wouldn't go to sleep at night. He would be right... What are you doing? Oh yes, yes. Sit right in front. Awesome. I put it right here and he's just sitting here watching it. I was saying I used to play this video when Maro was a kitten and he wouldn't go to sleep at night. He would just be like running around the room like a psyco. This would make him come sit beside me and watch the video. For half an hour. And he wouldn't move. He would just stare at the screen. Luna doesn't seem to care. XXstrawberryXX asks "Did you name Luna after Luna on SaylorMoon?" No actually Luna. We named Luna Luna because she is silver. Like the moon. We had to move the Q&A. Maro kept chewing on the tripod. Now you get the beautiful key-bored sounds in the background. Can't win! Ok Johnathan Wang asks "What does Sharla do for New-years?" What does Sharla do for New-years? I don't know. I'm pretty sure we're going to visit the shrine on New-years day to get our fortunes for the new year. Get some good luck charms. Other than that I'm not to sure yet. I've gotten a few questions about how Maro and Luna got along when we first got them. And how they became friends. Ect. I used Jackson Galaxies cat introduction technique. And even if your cats have already been introduced and they have been together for a while now. I have heard that you can still use that technique to reintroduce them. And it will help them become better friends. He made a really great video on YouTube and I followed it to the T. They have been amazing friends ever since we got Luna. Well like the first day they were introduced they kind of hissed and fought. But right after that they became like just better and better friends day by day. So I really think his technique works. So I definitely recommend trying that. Just search for Jackson Galaxy cat introduction. I'm pretty sure it will come up. Alright I gotta go start editing this vlog It is 1:30am and I want to try to get up at a reasonable time tomorrow morning. Because me and Key-bored-san are going to go somewhere special. We are going to try to at least. I hope it happens because I've been wanting to go to this place for a while. He mentioned today that he wants to go tomarrow. I really hope we do because I want to bring you guys there. I've been eyeing this place on the internet for years and I've never gotten a chance to go. So yay! I can't wait. So I will see you guys tomorrow for that hopefully. If not I'll do something else, but I'm gonna really really try to go there. Please give this video a thumbs up if you enjoyed it! If you didn't like it then you can give it a thumbs down. And I'll see you guys soon!Bye!
