I've been collecting the strangest snacks that I could find at the grocery store

DISCLAIMER: Japanese people don't eat these on a regular basis

These are weird to everybody here

But I just really love trying them

Because where else could you find strawberry cake flavoured chips

or egg roll gummy candies

This one is chocolate covered chili snacks

That kinda sounds good

I dunno, I think these might be good

Shortcake flavoured chips

These are gonna be disgusting for sure

Which one do you think is gonna be the worst?

Let's start with the safest one

These are strawberry shortcake flavoured potato chips

They're a limited edition product

Out just for a couple weeks

You can find them at the convenience stores here

I'm kind of excited

They smell really good!

Oh wow yeah!

I dunno how I'm gonna feel about sweet chips

They totally smell like strawberry cake

I mean, right now I would rather have regular potato chips

I kinda like these

It tastes like you ate a shortcake, and then you stuffed potato chips in your mouth

The flavours don't mesh

It's just the 2 very distinct flavours

They're pretty sweet

Huh. Well these aren't bad!

Probably never buy them

They're not a flavour that I would choose to eat

If you won't buy it again...

Well obviously there's better chip flavours out there

So these wouldn't be my #1

And I'm not excited about it

I've heard that they really taste like egg roll

They make all these flavours and you're like

Oh they must mix it together so it's an interesting combination

Nope it just tastes like that flavour!

They make it really accurate

So they're in a cute little package like this

I've had this candy before with a regular flavour

And I liked the flavour but I don't like the consistency of the gummy

It looks like cheese

They don't taste that much like egg

No I wouldn't call that egg

What is this flavour

It tastes like perfume

It doesn't taste edible

It tastes like plastic

It tastes like the fruity perfume that 16 year olds use

that's like $6 a bottle

Or me... over on my shelf

I really don't know how to explain this

This is the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten in my life

It tastes like plastic

Yeah it literally tastes like eating a tire kind of?

See I've had good flavours with this

I just don't like the consistency of this gummy

It is really weird

Because it is like sweet egg, and it kinda tastes like vanilla

Those were the 3 strangest Japanese snacks that I've found to date actually

Yeah those were pretty high up there on the weird level

I'll rate this candy

Marutake had a beautiful smile, so I'll give it 1/10
