Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles Oh hello. We're awfully busy in the kitchen this morning. Lord and Lady Braybrooke with the weather so fine, have decided to go on a picnic here at Audley End House down by the river. I am going to make them Queen Drop Biscuits, not only are they easy to make but they are also delicious. For these you will need. First you need to soften the butter. And then we're going to add the sugar, and cream the two together. Next sift the flour. Then add in the eggs and mix until it's nice and fluffy. Tip in the currants, and then add a few drops of almond flavouring. I would recommend adding just a few more. Mix well. Now take equal amounts of mixture and just drop it onto a greased baking sheet. Make sure that you don't put them too close together because the mixture will spread. Now place them in a less than moderate oven. They will take just under 10 minutes so keep an eye on them. Now they are out of the oven give them a moment and then carefully take them off and then let them cool on a rack. Once the biscuits are cool arrange them delicately. They have the consistency of somewhere between a biscuit and a cake. I suppose the Americans might call them a cookie. So there we are, Queen Drop Biscuits. Perfect with a cup of tea.
