  • Hello, Everyone so super nervous.

  • Super excited, though, to present on recording presentations using O.

  • B s and YouTube.

  • It's a cool way Thio, put yourself on YouTube.

  • It's cool way to educate others.

  • And, uh, kinda going to do that now to show everyone from start to finish to install to YouTube how to do O.

  • B.

  • S and take that recording and put on YouTube.

  • I'm getting ahead of myself.

  • That's for later going exit out of that.

  • So I have instructions actually on how to get started.

  • I want to go over some system requirements for ah O B s.

  • This is O.

  • B.

  • S set up and settings.

  • And so O.

  • B s is available on Windows, Mac and Lennox.

  • It's amazing.

  • It's on all three works well, in all three.

  • It does require direct X 10 compatible integrated graphics.

  • And so it's a more modern CPU type thing.

  • And so, like that basically is like Intel.

  • I 5 2000 series or higher uses open GPL on Lennox, And so I had a old laptop actually couldn't use because it was a core to do a laptop and it just too old.

  • And so it's almost kind of It's not really, uh I use it for open source development, so I still use it.

  • But this laptop does obey us quite well.

  • New like a little Joe system recommendations.

  • It's hard to find hard specific requirements for a B s online, but basically news better than old kind of a given gaming or business laptop eyes generally better because of the heat sinks than ultrabook.

  • And so this is the ultrabook.

  • So if I were to play, you know, Battlefield one and D O B s at the same time, this one's gonna be screaming, just like as it tries to cool it down, which is really kind of distracting for the microphone.

  • So if you have a gaming laptop or business, life was better before what I'm doing, it's gonna be fine, because I'm just doing a presentation and somo Rambo better.

  • And so we got a little picture of a ram there.

  • You can see it.

  • Ah, it is optimized for windows.

  • And so if you're on windows, you're in luck.

  • There's a lot of streamers online.

  • A lot of people recording content online.

  • They're on windows, Uh, and you get quite a bit less CPU usage on Windows and Lennox is getting better every day, and that's developed for all of them.

  • So a pre set up you want to change your resolution in 1920 by 10.

  • 80 or 12.

  • 80 by 7 20 Basically, the HD resolutions.

  • The reason I say that I'm currently on 7 20 This is a four K monitor on this laptop and for Obi, esto have to scale from for four K Thio 10 80 or 7 20 on the fly is a little bit too intense for it.

  • And so the CQ unless you're on a gaming laptop or a business laptop has a you know, like a good heat sink, then it's going to struggle a little bit.

  • So I like 7 20 Because if you're doing a presentation, if you're showing windows like I'm gonna be showing you it, just be easier.

  • See?

  • So the first thing we need to do is download O B.

  • S Do this live, guys.

  • Dun dun, duh.

  • Click on windows.

  • Um, and so here is that this is a 64 bit installer, which is what you want to do.

  • Most of the time he was 32 bit.

  • We're gonna do this.

  • 64 gonna download it.

  • Oh, that's not too bad.

  • I'm gonna cancel.

  • I'm a cheat.

  • Already.

  • Have Obi sa downloaded Should right there.

  • Yes.

  • All right.

  • So missing components, what those components are talking about real quick.

  • Is it?

  • Once you have the visual studio steeple c++ library included.

  • And so if you don't already have that installed, I uninstalled it before the presentation, then it will trigger that message.

  • Um, so it's going to install them, so that should be pretty quick.

  • Uh, did that work?

  • Oh, yeah.

  • Sonny, click here.

  • We g Oh, that's a lot faster.

  • It's much smaller.

  • Open that bad boy up if you already been using.

  • Okay, this this might sound a little bit too involved, but I do wanna have basically a presentation that covers the whole aspect of it.

  • So set up successful all rights.

  • So I'm gonna I think I'm going to run the exit again.

  • No, there we go.

  • I agree.

  • We're gonna stall its program files over your studio.

  • Um, browser source.

  • That's a good one.

  • Toe.

  • Have, um All right, let's go install it.

  • So basically it's next.

  • Next next All right, I'm gonna launch over.

  • Yes.

  • Studio.

  • Okay, we're in.

  • Oh, I kept all my settings OK along.

  • Can you warn Second and I'm going to actually products, Joe, update of roaming actually start completely fresh here for the benefits of learning.

  • Take one second.

  • So quit out O B s sleep.

  • My this isn't Joe app.

  • Data roaming.

  • My name is Joe, by the way.

  • I think we covered that.

  • All right, so open up, obeah studio again.

  • All right, now we're starting fresh.

  • So here's a license agreement saying it has the canoe General.

  • Public license was a very good thing over that.

  • A little later, it means open source.

  • Anyone can contribute to it all rights, and then it pops up.

  • Would you like to run the auto configuration wizard?

  • Yes, I would, um, kind of a sanity.

  • Check it.

  • Yes.

  • And so it says optimized for streaming recording a secondary.

  • That's ah.

  • If you're gonna be streaming, that's a good way to do that.

  • If you do this option.

  • So you go next.

  • Oh, yeah.

  • It's gonna want you to enter your stream key and change your streaming service here.

  • We're not gonna go into that We're just gonna do op device for recording.

  • I will not be streaming.

  • You always run the wizard again.

  • All right, so the base canvas resolution, If I was on 10.

  • 80 p, I'd want to select an ap from here since I am on 7 20 Then I want to use 7 20 as my canvas canvasses.

  • Basically, where you're gonna put all of your webcam and 20 information, for example.

  • So frames per second I go with 30 30 is plenty for a demonstration thirties.

  • Plenty for twitch.

  • If you want a stream to twitch, 60 is kind of a little extreme.

  • It requires a lot more Processing also requires a lot more band with your streaming.

  • I do 30 next apply settings and we're almost good to go.

  • So we did.

  • We installed visual studio basically over.

  • Yes.

  • Redirect us to their site.

  • We downloaded file.

  • We installed it.

  • We restarted the installation that worked.

  • All right, One thing I do want to point out is so once you start working with O.

  • B s, you may notice things are not working correctly.

  • This is a quick, uh, this is a quick kind of like, gotcha.

  • If you have in video graphics on your card, you might need to check your settings, and we're gonna go through that real quick.

  • So I'm gonna hit the Windows key to control Panel.

  • I'm gonna go to hardware and sound and then in video control panel.

  • And so once this pops up, it's gonna allow me to go over to program settings over here.

  • Show automatically pull it up, since I'm using it yet and so were the open broad broad caster.

  • Software is open, and sometimes it's set Thio high performance in video processor.

  • We want to make sure it's on integrated graphics, and that's all you gotta do.

  • I was already set to integrate grafts illegally and apply.

  • I don't know what's gotten us anything up.

  • All right, We're good, and that'll make sure everything runs smoothly.

  • All right, so let's see what's next.

  • We did the auto configuration wizard, by the way to get back to that just got tools.

  • Auto configuration wizard.

  • You could set up streaming later.

  • Um, they do have auto configuration wizard, and thankfully, they do because O.

  • B s settings can get intense.

  • Very intense.

  • All right, so we set the canvas.

  • We set 30 frames per second.

  • We need to set the record path.

  • I do recommend that to do that, you gotta file settings, get down Thio outputs, and then we do recording path.

  • And it's set to Joe R C users.

  • Joe videos.

  • That's good spot.

  • So I'm gonna leave it.

  • But it's good to do that.

  • Just make sure the video's going to where you expect.

  • Hello?

  • Hello.

  • I'm just getting started.

  • We basically installed O B s at this point and, uh, doing very basic settings.

  • All right.

  • And so let's add a background, add a background, just so you have a good contrast.

  • So here we have a scene, the default seen name is seen, and we want to start adding sources.

  • So I need to resize this so we can see it better.

  • All right.

  • And so here the sources we want to add new source.

  • That new source is gonna be image going, Nina.

  • It's good.

  • It's good.

  • The name things.

  • So we're gonna name this background, and that way the source has a name that makes sense.

  • Browse for background O.

  • B.

  • S.

  • I have this cool little circuit board background.

  • I'm gonna click.

  • Okay.

  • Oh, you can see that.

  • Um, it's not scaled.

  • Well, and so the simple way to get that because this is a 10 80 p image or greater, I think.

  • And you can actually move it like that.

  • Little laborious.

  • But that's what I'm basically gonna do right there.

  • That's that's the new background.

  • All right?

  • And so we want to add a webcam getting to the juicy juice.

  • And so this is what the advantage of O.

  • B.

  • S over over over other screen recording software.

  • You actually do the Webcam video capture device.

  • Uh, we're gonna call this internal web cam.

  • Awesome.

  • There we go.

  • Hello.

  • How would you do had that in there?

  • That's huge.

  • I'm gonna scale down and do it the same way I did that.

  • Pop it over here.

  • And bam, This works in a pinch.

  • I don't recommend it.

  • I do recommend getting a dedicated web cam.

  • That's what this is here.

  • You know, if I can show here might show it better.

  • But here you go.

  • I could do that song.

  • So this is a so this is a logic tech uh, webcam.

  • I don't remember the model number but it basically it's like a transformer you can like, unfold it, turn it around.

  • That has, like, a little hook here.

  • It's kind of like the PlayStation camera.

  • You're seeing those, and then it just basically hooks onto the monitor like that.

  • I'm gonna cover the existing webcam because we're no longer going to use it.

  • What I really like about these this is kind of all in one streaming booster.

  • And the main advantage Ah, for me is that it puts the microphone further away from the fan on the computer, further away from the keyboard on the computer and it makes it makes for clear audio.

  • Um, the picture, I think, is a little bit better.

  • Um, but it depends on your computer, but if you have older computer and definitely can help plug it in and so I've already plug it in.

  • But when there's a normally be like installing drivers and once that's done, we're gonna move this webcam and that the Web can disappear.

  • But just because I put the other way became on top of it.

  • So we're gonna do a video capture device again.

  • We're gonna call this Ah, lodger tech web Cam.

  • All right, Go.

  • Bam!

  • And the bam!

  • There I am.

  • Just a camera, but my hands and double.

  • All right, click.

  • Okay.

  • And this looks kind of boring.

  • Honestly, the square has been done.

  • Square has been done, and so I'm gonna guess is the four by three ratio and we're gonna create our first mass guys.

  • O B s is all about masks.

  • Um, so I think that's the next step.

  • Creighton.

  • Adam, ask.

  • So here's better.

  • You better to use a dedicated Web cam a mite.

  • Let's let's make a mask.

  • And so I'm just gonna jump right into it.

  • It's kind of hard to explain, but masking is basically setting up image.

  • Allow you to crop another image to almost any shape.

  • And so we're gonna go straight to paint, be better use Photoshopped gin created anything like that over paint.

  • But I love paint, you know, goes back to the Windows 95.

  • Or was it 98?

  • I don't remember.

  • All right, so let's go on, resize it.

  • I'm gonna do pixels do 6 40 by 4 80 huh?

  • Oh, yeah.

  • I maintain aspect ratios.

  • Get out of there.

  • Get out.

  • 6 40 before Eddie.

  • All right.

  • And then, um, a click back on maintain aspect ratio, you know?

  • God, I had a click.

  • Okay, Live demonstration.

  • Click.

  • Okay, I recommend going bigger and the reason.

  • So now sit back.

  • 2%.

  • I'm gonna go 200%.

  • Make it bigger.

  • That's because the pixel is gonna be sharper here in a second.

  • Let me make it lot smaller by going out and zoom over here, all right?

  • And so we're gonna do something cute.

  • We're gonna do a little, uh, I played around with this.

  • I really like pain.

  • Because you have these free shapes here.

  • Say free.

  • Everything should be free.

  • But so here we got this shape, and I am going to set it to solid Phil outlined.

  • No outline we don't want, and then we're gonna take the shape we're in Dragon.

  • It should be white.

  • Yeah, that's why.

  • And then just go ahead and fill the screen with it.

  • Guy on and make sure it's centered.

  • I also want to make sure it's kind of a circle.

  • Okay, Good enough.

  • Definition of done right there.

  • Save as it's gonna be a P and G spoiler alert.

  • Another mask up there.

  • All right, so a PNG and we're gonna call it.

  • Oh, uh, bubble mask.

  • Oh, yes.

  • No.

  • What is that?

  • What is this thought bubble.

  • Be more specific.

  • Thought bubble.

  • I'm in the weeds, Got the weeds.

  • All right.

  • Save.

  • Okay.

  • And so I got the logic Webb came here on.

  • We want to apply that mask.

  • And so what we do is I'm a right click on this.

  • Goto filters and at and at us at these resolutions you're fighting with O.

  • B s a little bit on what the windows air doing.

  • So I'm gonna move this down.

  • You'll see me do this a lot, So that gives me access to edit filters on add a filter, and we want to do image mask blend.

  • We're gonna call this thought bubble so we know what it is.

  • Oh, okay.

  • We're there.

  • All right.

  • We wantto select the path of the mask.

  • Browse already have a setup.

  • It's in this O.

  • B s folder right here that I set up.

  • Click it and bottom being about a boom Webcam is a thought bubble.

  • Now.

  • All right.

  • S o ah.

  • Also, it's pretty good right now.

  • I wanted to show you a little trick.

  • And this I think I did mark this down so you can crop and pad, which is another filter you can apply to zoom the webcam image.

  • So when you do a webcam, sometimes it'll appear far away, especially on one's built into the computer.

  • You shouldn't do that right now.

  • Our crop pad pretty easy.

  • And I call it zoom instead of crop.

  • Todd.

  • So we know its story, all right?

  • And this is just simply adding numbers to all of them.

  • And so I'm gonna d'oh!

  • 15 15 15 15.

  • Oh, no.

  • We got some clipping up here.

  • That's not great.

  • So the more numbers you do, the more resumes.

  • So we'll have to do is move.

  • Zoom above this.

  • And then we have a perfectly zoomed webcam image.

  • It doesn't look like we need Zoom.

  • We're gonna rid of it.

  • Close that.

  • All right.

  • And so I'm a big fan of making sure contrasts or great contrast around the rim is not very good.

  • We're gonna make a border, and we're gonna make a border using the same mask we just used.

  • So we're gonna add an image.

  • We're gonna call this Ah, Webcam border.

  • And this is kind of a hacky way to do it.

  • We'll do it real quick.

  • Put the thought bubble back in there.

  • Awesome click.

  • Okay.

  • All right, then we need to apply some filters to this to make it just a solid white circle.

  • So, uh, filters.

  • Oh, yeah, it's cool.

  • Down.

  • We're back up.

  • And then, ah, we're gonna apply the color key filter.

  • So do this color key.

  • Here we go.

  • Um, I could have named that better anyways, do Ah, custom color.

  • All right, They're black.

  • All right.

  • Now we just have Ah, basically a white box in the same shape.

  • Change the color just a little bit.

  • Oh, well, uh, wrong color.

  • You're right about that.

  • Okay?

  • I want to change the color of just a little bit because there's gonna be a white presentations.

  • I was just gonna disappear, so I'm gonna color correction.

  • I think I want to do that afterwards.

  • So I moved it up.

  • Select color gray.

  • All right.

  • And then, uh, is it brightness?

  • What's going on?

  • Oh, yeah.

  • Who cut presence?

  • Yeah.

  • So it color correction needs to be below.

  • We're making a little bit more gray actually using saturation here, we'll get it closer.

  • The color it says.

  • Anyways, all we're gonna D'oh is not that Not that at all.

  • So that'll happen a lot.

  • And how I get around, that is I will lock it down.

  • You're locked down now.

  • You can't move, All right?

  • And this is just kind of Ah, cheeky way to do a border, But it allows you thio kind of, um someone put the webcam above it, and and then I want to link these together.

  • Click this.

  • Click this.

  • Move this up there.

  • I'm gonna lock these together by right clicking and then hit Or is it at group selected items?

  • And now we have a web cam out of order.

  • I think it makes it look more professional for sure.

  • All right, move it on.

  • So the next step, I noticed a little bit laborious, guys, but it does help at a little professionalism, and it kind of shows you how to use masks and some other key elements.

  • We're gonna create some twitter art.

  • Let's add that we'll do an image first.

  • Gonna call it Twitter logo.

  • I got this logo off to Twitter site.

  • Um you can download assets from them.

  • This is the round social media icon.

  • Open that.

  • All right, Pretty big.

  • We're gonna make a smaller a lot smaller now, That big stud put it down here.

  • All right.

  • And then we're gonna make a Twitter tag is at Joe Matthews.

  • Okay, See, we're gonna do that now.

  • And this is this next step.

  • Um, So we're gonna we're gonna add texture and change the font size to be huge, and that way we get sharper.

  • Edges will scale it down.

  • We're gonna add a outline, which is really only available in Windows.

  • I try testing it, and, uh, it might work in Mac, but it doesn't work on Lenox yet.

  • Might need to add something to it to make it work, to explain what's going on there.

  • I'm just gonna call us at Joe Matthews.

  • Okay.

  • See, that's Bill.

  • That right?

  • I'm also gonna copy that out to type it again.

  • We got a text, select fonts.

  • I'm just gonna d'oh 72 so it makes it sharper.

  • All right?

  • I think aerials.

  • Fine.

  • Um, go fancy if you want, and so I don't need to change anything here.

  • I think The color's fine right now.

  • The background color.

  • I think that's fine.

  • It's just clear, Um, and so we want is alignment.

  • Go back.

  • Was it left?

  • Outline?

  • Right.

  • Click that and then we're gonna change the color.

  • I needto kind of find the Twitter logo.

  • So we're gonna change the outline color, and we're gonna make it the same as the Twitter logo.

  • How I did that again, as I select color on outlines the outlying island color select color pink color.

  • And then I just ah, good again.

  • Hover over the twitter kind of right in the middle.

  • Bada bing bada boom.

  • And then so here it is.

  • It doesn't look that great.

  • So let's increase the outlines.

  • D'oh!

  • What's do five?

  • No, let's do more.

  • 10.

  • Go More.

  • 30 30.

  • We'll not let me do 30 rip off twenties.

  • The highest twenties Enough though.

  • That looks good.

  • Kind.

  • Looks like a red bubble sticker.

  • You ever bought those?

  • I gave that analogy earlier.

  • Crickets like Red Bull.

  • All right, so we're gonna re size this bout of being bought a boom.

  • This look a lot sharper on YouTube.

  • That's scaling down the image.

  • And then I'm hitting control.

  • So it's it's wanted to snap this thing, so it'll snap it, snap everywhere.

  • But I wanted to be in the middle of the Twitter logo.

  • Some a whole control kind of his wing it.

  • And then I am going to join these two together.

  • So how I do that is you can either do it here on the screen itself.

  • It control on both of them.

  • So, like, control, click control, click right click and then are you lost it?

  • Why not put these together group?

  • Let's try over here.

  • We'll go to group selected items.

  • Okay, I guess you have to do it here now.

  • These air together now you can scale him.

  • They'll scale together.

  • It's your own personal.

  • You could make this in Ah, in gimp photo shop and create a and have, ah, transparent background have the same effect.

  • This is just kind of a way to do it in text and also to show you how text works.

  • Anyways, um, so I think we're about done.

  • We need add one more source, which is the big one, which is the record, the screen.

  • And so we don't need to hide the background.

  • It's gonna be in memory anyway, So we're just gonna do plus, and then we're going to do display capture.

  • I didn't want to point out 11 other capture, which is a good one.

  • Windows capture us.

  • Go over that first.

  • We're not going to use it.

  • So when does capture?

  • I might call it chrome only.

  • And this is a good way to kind of keep your privacy.

  • You know, I like I think I closed everything before a game appear.

  • But you're all tab, and and there's, like, messaging conversations up or whatever.

  • Then they're going to see it.

  • But this could be the window.

  • Only that you're looking at, so do chrome only.

  • And then that looks like a lot of gobbledygook.

  • So we need to find chrome eventually found it here.

  • And sometimes you'll Seymour than one that e x c Look for the one that has a title you want.

  • Oh, no.

  • Why is that not working?

  • Oh, I know why it's not working.

  • Don't know why that's not working.

  • I'm gonna have to troubleshoot that later.

  • Let me check me.

  • Check the setting settings.

  • I don't think this will have anything to do with it.

  • Okay, so this so Oh, sure, where we went with the file settings, but the output.

  • And here you have an encoder setting.

  • This is under recording encoder.

  • This actually needs to be software, actually can be hardware any a v e v e n c.

  • And a lot of gamers use that.

  • It's it's probably 10 20% faster on your computer.

  • But I've got an error that I needed Update the drivers.

  • And so I'm just gonna use software, and I don't have an okay button.

  • So scrolling down click, apply.

  • Click.

  • Okay, I don't know if that's why I'm not seeing that.

  • So let me try nervous, Get rid of chrome only.

  • Just do straight to display.

  • Captured.

  • That's how you would capture just one window.

  • Hopefully, this works every when Oh, no, it's the exception.

  • Conception.

  • And so this is kind of most awful seeing thing to see, and you'll see it a lot in almost every almost every O.

  • B s like if someone switches back, Toby s while they're streaming, you'll see this.

  • That's kind of Florentine, but it's just showing a mirror effect because it is recording within recording.

  • So, uh, just look okay.

  • Really annoying.

  • Want to get out of here as soon as we can?

  • What happened to all our stuff?

  • It's actually this floated the window to the top.

  • And so we need on the sources list.

  • Move this down so quick to down arrow and stuff Starts popping back up.

  • Hope too far.

  • All right.

  • Is that exciting?

  • Guys, so far so good.

  • All right, so we'll get into the meat and potatoes a little bit.

  • And so the presentation itself is go full on.

  • We're going to set up O P s, which we just just did.

  • We're gonna record a presentation, which is gonna be pretty short.

  • They were upload that to YouTube, and I might do another talk later where I go advanced O.

  • B.

  • S stuff as I learned more.

  • Um, but we do have some bonus things at the end to keep in mind.

  • I'm not gonna do the browser one, but basically, we're gonna do We are gonna add Spotify.

  • So we're gonna add album art to O B s and show you how to do that, using masks, getting back to the good stuff.

  • So I'm gonna start the recording and no errors, which is good.

  • And so it shows.

  • Stop recording now And so we're gonna go back to Chrome.

  • Did not mean to close it all the way down.

  • I don't think Go back to my slides.

  • Here's the presentation you saw before.

  • It's a little bit tongue in cheek.

  • This kind of meant to be fast.

  • And the main content of what you're learning is supposed to be on the actual demonstration itself.

  • So here we go, recording presentations using O.

  • B s and YouTube.

  • So what is O.

  • B.

  • S.

  • O.

  • B s stands for open broadcaster software?

  • It's created by Hugh, Jim Bailey and many contributors.

  • A lot of people have helped out on this.

  • The first release was in September 2012.

  • There's presets for streaming to twitch, YouTube, instagram, Facebook and others.

  • It's open source software.

  • That means anyone can contribute to it.

  • Anyone can make it better.

  • It's probably gonna be free forever.

  • And it's a license to new GP LV.

  • Two.

  • That's a general public license, and that means that if anyone improves it, they have to contribute the code back to the main depository and make that code available.

  • I don't have to contribute back.

  • They have to make it available.

  • So it's That's a really good thing.

  • It's community driven software, and it is the number one software for streaming.

  • It's also very popular for recording screens because of ability that Webcams and control audio and just the mountains settings you can do.

  • You can control everything on it.

  • I was telling other people, If you can see it on your computer, you can put it on your stream.

  • Um, so that alternatives Toby s little troll move here?

  • Um, they probably have 99% market share and they don't charge a dime.

  • And so, um, I wouldn't recommend using anything else.

  • I'm not gonna tell you to use anything else.

  • Um, I'm gonna mention names.

  • Ask, because that's how much I love O B s.

  • Um, I showed you a little bit with mass.

  • You could do a lot with masks, and you could do a lot with browser integration to That's how you get the magical pop pop up on the screens when you're watching twitch.

  • We won't get to that, but I will show you how Thio use mass to get Spotify on.

  • They're using Ah, Non copyrighted music, of course.

  • All right, Kimberly.

  • Right, All right.

  • And so the actual, like this is going on YouTube.

  • But this is going on YouTube after what we're actually recording right now.

  • So it's a little bit of recording inception.

  • Um, so my detailed O.

  • B.

  • S set up presentation for O.

  • B.

  • S O man repeated obey slices.

  • Embarrassing.

  • It's coming soon to YouTube.

  • The presentation is actually created right now during that presentation from the future.

  • That's a little hard to explain, but everything you're seeing me doing right now is gonna be the second video in this series.

  • We're about to upload the first, which is this presentation that I hit start recording on.

  • I created a little gofer part, too, because, like back to the future, Marty McFly eyes visiting himself at the dance.

  • Pretty cool.

  • So what is you too?

  • I know what YouTube is.

  • Everyone saying, Why's YouTube important?

  • You know, But why record presentations?

  • Wyatt content For me personally, it's kind of a personal thing.

  • YouTube has been very powerful for me.

  • I've learned excel.

  • I've learned programming, learned a lot of things that you expect me.

  • I learned my profession.

  • But also, I learned how to stay in concrete in my new house, I learned how to repair a leaky bathtub.

  • I don't think I could do that.

  • I learned how to paint a house the right way.

  • You actually have to clean it with soap.

  • Now, where the paint doesn't feel off, it's on there, Like on There are court now and etcetera.

  • I've learned a lot of things.

  • I don't necessarily think I could do better videos than that.

  • What I can do is dio programming videos.

  • I can do O.

  • B s videos, and this is kind of my first video to YouTube.

  • Promote yourself.

  • You know, show what you what?

  • You're good at what you've made.

  • Um, you know, uh, show your communication skills to your new employer.

  • Um, show, uh, show what you're worth to a little bit.

  • Give back.

  • That's the kind of thing it's like I can I can do.

  • I can't do a lot of years, but I can do it O.

  • B.

  • S video, um, and also learned better.

  • Yes, this is kind of like the last minute add here, but but it's important.

  • Need me doing this like I would consider myself, like, you know, like a mid tier, you know, wizard as faras o b s coz, um, I think I could figure out a lot of things using masks and using web, um, to get almost anything to work.

  • But just making this presentation, I had to kind of re clarify some conceptions that some misconceptions, things that work as I expected into putting this all together.

  • I learned over yes.

  • Better.

  • And so putting a presentation together alone may help you learn it better.

  • And, of course, since this is being seen on you two black comment subscribe, please.

  • All right, that's the last slide from there.

  • I'm gonna go click back off its stop recording.

  • All right?

  • And so what's next?

  • So we recorded.

  • We clicked the start recording button.

  • Do the presentation, click the stop recording button.

  • I wanted to add one more thing because I'm all about being transparent about hang ups.

  • Hey, let's get rid of this inception thing going on there.

  • Really?

  • Trippy.

  • All right, So if we go to settings And so if you try to do start, present our start recording and you get an air, the error might be caused by what I checked earlier.

  • So if you go to out outputs Goto encoder, uh, you might try software encoder because the error might be about in the V's.

  • What does that say?

  • Envy NC story.

  • So what's the next step?

  • All right.

  • Upload it to YouTube.

  • Sounds reasonable.

  • All right.

  • Let me close this out.

  • I gotta You too.

  • Com and I did a teaser video before Actually did.

  • A lot of Caesar video is only one got shows, and I'm going my channel.

  • Uh, I'm very new to YouTube and uploading video, so I just did YouTube studio over here on the right.

  • There's probably people in here that are masters at YouTube.

  • And let's talk, let's connect.

  • And then ah, uh, dashboard, no videos, plus uploads.

  • Oh, man.

  • So before I just had a big old fat upload New video?

  • Anyone wants to bail me out?

  • How did I upload a new video?

  • We're here.

  • Let's do it.

  • Yes, Icon was obvious.

  • All right, so I'm gonna ski.

  • Oh, no, I'm gonna d'oh Private.

  • That's because we need a trim it.

  • And so I said it to go to videos s So many videos sort by date Real quick.

  • 2 37 All right, Open.

  • All right, title.

  • So recording presentations with over.

  • Yes, and I'll be a regular.

  • And you, too, Part one.

  • All right.

  • Here.

  • I give an introduction to YouTube to O B s.

  • Yeah, uh, heart two.

  • No details how I created mission.

  • I think it's done.

  • No processing 95.

  • Okay, we're going to click.

  • Done.

  • All right, So return to YouTube.

  • Studio Beta.

  • Okay.

  • I want to dotolo click on one of my videos being about a boom.

  • We go click on this.

  • There we go.

  • Editor eso editor allow you to trim the beginning of the end of a video, and we're gonna do that to make this a little bit more professional.

  • Here you can zoom thio, get more of a timeline you confined to know a little bit better.

  • So right.

  • Oh, after trim.

  • So it's hit room right about here, I think.

  • Okay.

  • And then automatically trim it.

  • Happen here when you scroll.

  • Zoom out.

  • Okay.

  • Okay.

  • All right.

  • Um trim, split.

  • Cancel.

  • I would expect me to do a preview.

  • There you go.

  • Just like that.

  • It's stopped.

  • Okay.

  • Why is this not working anyone?

  • No.

  • Any proof?

  • Professionals?

  • Oh, because I didn't do any training.

  • Uh, I swear I did.

  • I think that's about good right there.

  • Free of you.

  • We're gonna listen to this.

  • I'm joking.

  • So what is this that really just happen?

  • According to court records, Recording presentations using open Yes.

  • Portland presentations using open.

  • Yes.

  • Looks good.

  • So what are you doing?

  • This stands for opening broadcaster Shop where?

  • Straight by huge in Bailey.

  • And I think so.

  • That's going to cook on.

  • And that is basically how to do all of what I promised to do on that presentation.

  • And so with that, you can record almost anything.

  • You could play a video in the background.

  • Record yourself commentating on that.

  • A lot of stuff you can do, um, including gaming.

  • And so if you want to gaming, the only real difference is you plug in a ah twitch key into ah, obeah settings go through that, um, go through that the getting started.

  • It's not tutorial, but ah, section at the whisky.

  • Um, that's almost concludes my presentation.

  • I wanted to show your Spotify I'll need to show you using browser stuff later.

  • It's a browser stuff is the real powerful stuff, But, uh, one thing I ran into selling some as they walked into the walked into the presentation here.

  • I wanted to be a counterstrike star, you know, I wanted to kill nubs on the Internets and do it on Twitch.

  • So I learned a lot of O B S t do good production value for that.

  • One of things I really wanted was to add a Spotify like album, art and song playing to the stream.

  • I'm sure there's ways to do that are very hacky using AP eyes and stuff like that.

  • But I did find a way to use, you know, along the principles.

  • If you can see it, you can add it.

  • And so I created a mask for Spotify.

  • And so well, not that mask.

  • So if I open up Spotify here, all right.

  • And one thing I did to try to find good music the play, because if you play music just as a normal user, they will mute your entire broadcast.

  • That's recorded.

  • And, um and also I think you're held to a higher standard of your educational source.

  • They might send you a message.

  • Really?

  • Don't do that, Um And so they're basically looking for copyrighted music.

  • Um, I think it's very much a slap on the wrist now, but it's always good to just not mess with it.

  • And so I type and twitch up in here, and that brings up this profile.

  • I don't know if it's official or not, but it does have I've seen this before than the no copyright sounds, which is a group that puts out music for people on anyone complain.

  • And so, um, most of the album arts the same, which is unfortunate.

  • Find one that's different.

  • I don't think it's actually changing anyway.

  • Let's try star bound.

  • I think they're all the same.

  • But there's one, uh, okay.

  • And so I wanted to secure the changing of our work.

  • So I wanted to basically get this out of Spotify and put it into my My twitch are into O.

  • B s.

  • You can do this during a presentation.

  • If you wanted to that you just record not stream and so leaves this chill music playing in background turned down all right.

  • And so what we're gonna do is we're actually going to use a mask, so hopefully it's the work was finicky earlier into window capture Again, Name this Spotify.

  • We're gonna go down and shoes Spotify aereo lars them over.

  • I think that's a song that's playing that.

  • Okay, so I want to grab this.

  • So what actually did that?

  • She's gonna pop over.

  • It is 7 20 feet three.

  • So here at the top, on the filter.

  • I like it.

  • So we're gonna add a filter, Adam, ask again, just like we did for the webcam.

  • All right.

  • Show you what this mask is.

  • I made this in paint as well, to make sure.

  • Basically, I took a screenshot great shot on, then paint not actually paste this in here.

  • And basically, I added a white box.

  • I said, I'm not gonna do it, but here goes and then I just, uh, went over it with a white box, all right?

  • And then, uh, colored all this black to show you real quick how that happened.

  • But I did exhumed in, try to make it perfect.

  • Can get kind of like that.

  • Colored everything black around it, So just double click.

  • Make sure that's not really black, that sort of thing.

  • And then you just take this black thing.

  • And I said I was gonna do it, but I'm actually all right.

  • Uh, so I got I click work When you change into black as the box, just highlight it all.

  • You also have to remove this bottom bar because it does not include a no.

  • B s.

  • Yeah.

  • Take it all this black that turns into, uh, this is the 7 20 p basically O B s mask for Spotify I created drags on me So we go brown that they're always gets album artwork, clothes drag out to the side over here just to show you I'm gonna use my keyboard to change album So if I D'oh I mean, I have a function next song It changes the album and it shows who's playing below Not a look a lot sharper on stream.

  • All right, so that I close my presentation and so that I think, concludes my presentation on how to use O.

  • B s.

  • Um, that's true.

  • Record your presentation and uploaded to you too.

  • I'd like to go more in depth on certain topics.

  • It gets pretty technical.

  • At some point, I'd be very curious to hear what you all think you do, Joe Matthews.

  • Okay.

  • See, on Twitter, let me know what you what you'd like to try, and I can maybe figure it out with you other.

  • That any questions, any people share filters.

  • So you're talking about taking like that Spotify and kind of exporting that.

  • And so one way to do that.

  • This is new.

  • I believe it's new or also, I missed it the first time If I wanted to extract all of this.

  • I'm kind of doing this live with because I just found out about it with your tools.

  • Come.

  • But if you do tools and then you d'oh toe scene area seeing collection.

  • And then we have untitled trying to save as I can to save us.

  • Why is it untitled?

  • If you can't say, I guess you could do new and then you name it anyway, So I'm on entitled right now.

  • I do export.

  • And then I put that anywhere I want to put a no.

  • B s already did it right here.

  • Um um, you call this presentation scenes chi save.

  • Let's go see what that looks like, though.

  • Presentation scenes open with code.

  • All right.

  • And so that's what this looks like.

  • It looks very editable, which is amazing.

  • And so I'm pretty sure if you were to send this to a friend, uh, all they would have to do is have all the files that are in the same folder.

  • I might need him.

  • I don't know.

  • You'd have to You have to check it out.

  • Yeah.

  • So it's hard coating this, and so you'd have to go through and kind of change it, But it's more of a backup for yourself on these in these o.

  • B s profiles are kind of what makes streamers money.

  • So, um, there's not much sharing going on in general, but ah, as far as I've seen.

  • But I guess that is an awesome new feature, because that wasn't possible.

  • It might have been in settings like deep buried in.

  • I just don't know where it waas, but that export options there, and you can back that up.

  • You can spend hours days doing that, and no, B s my crap out on your one day.

  • But it's nice to have that back up.

  • It's never ever deleted a convict file on me, though unlike other broadcasting software, I've heard about.

  • And so it was that.

  • Did I ask you a question?

  • All right.

  • Anyone else?

  • Oh, tough question.

  • The best.

  • I understand it.

  • And if anyone is ah, like an engineer, Raise your hand.

  • Hurry, hurry.

  • Damn!

  • And so a video bit rate.

  • I know that is 3000 recommended by twitch for 10.

  • 80 p.

  • I think it's 2000 or 2200 for 7 20 p and S O.

  • It'
