Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles This is the lock picking lawyer, and recently, in video 1009 I featured three types of Brinks padlocks with what I believe to be inexcusable design flaws. And one of them was this four digit combination lock, which can literally be bypassed faster than you can dial the combination. Let me show you just how easy it ISS it's currently locked. I'm going to take a thin shim of metal, slip it between the lock body and a code wheel, then push it all the way to the back. Press down on the shackle down on the XM and it pops right open. It's really that easy. Well, a number of you pointed out in the comments that Brings is now offering a similar looking path lock with a different mechanism. And they said, it's not subject to this attack, folks. I wish that were true. This is the newer style padlock, and you can see externally they look a little bit different. However internally, the mechanism is very similar, and unfortunately, that means the exact same bypassed works on it. This is currently locked. Once again, we will slip a thin shim of metal between the lock body and a code wheel. Press down on the shackle down on the XM and it pops open. Same for this one currently locked. Slipped this in between the lock body and a code wheel. Press down on the shackle down on the XM and it is open. So as you can see, the newer Brinks model is Justus flawed as the old one and should definitely be avoided. In any case, that's all I have for you today. If you do have any questions or comments about this, please put them below you like this video and would like to see more like it. Please subscribe. And, as always, have a nice day. Thank you.
