Well, someone has gone back on their word! Yeah it's official - Cheryl is back!

So it was probably the worst kept secret in showbiz, but Simon Cowell has finally confirmed

that Chezza will return to The X Factor this year. Si confirmed the news on Twitter, while

Cheryl posted this snap on Instagram saying GUESS WHAT!!.. I'm baaaacccckkkkk!!!!

Cheryl, who was originally on the show from 2008 to 2010, has reportedly agreed a £1.5million

deal to return, after making up with Simon after he sacked her from the US X Factor just

weeks into her role.

-Good ol' Simon. -Yes?

Do you anyone will ever start asking until we actually see you both sitting down together

and having a...

You'll be asking for a long time, if that's what it's going to take.

-Oh really? -Yeah.

We have no plans of... I'm completely focused and into my album and the tour coming up,

and I have no plans to be sat next to Simon.

However, it seems it wasn't an easy job persuading Cheryl. According to reports, Simon has been

trying to make amends with the Geordie for years.

And when we last caught up with Si, he told us he was trying to work his magic.

Now the best news this week. You're coming back to the UK X Factor. Who do you want on

that panel with you, Simon?

Well, I would love Cheryl to come back, and I've got to persuade her now.

Apparently though, it wasn't the ridiculous paycheck that made Cheryl change her mind.

It's claimed she said she loves the show and has unfinished business.

And as for who will be joining Cheryl and Simon on the panel, it's not yet clear
