I've gone on the pretty kind of basic date dinner and a movie, but I'd like to do something a little more exciting in the city.

You know, we could see a show or go to a really nice restaurant.

Maybe go to a jazz bar.

I'm planning to take her out to dinner on and have a few drinks.

Maybe, you know we'll want to get dinner eight and meet up for a drink somewhere beforehand.

Well, seeing how it goes, I could not tell you the last time I went on the first date.

A will put pressure on myself because it's got to be great and it's got to be perfect.

And then I need to, like, take a step back and realize like it's just a first say, it's fine, like, you don't have to be Mr Perfect like chill out.

It's all gonna be fine.

Um, a connection with someone would be great, you know, Even if it doesn't work out romantically, we could just be friends.

It's a new face that I know in the city, and that would be awesome.

Just a good evening and hopefully, you know, a second date or third day.

And after that it would be great if she was someone that I really get along with and could start to build a relationship with.

But outside of that, you know, I'm just always down to go have a good time with new people.

This has never happened, but maybe if he orders for me or suggests I get the salad red flag, it was very clear to me that we had completely different values.

And then it's just two strangers playing 21 questions for three hours.

The worst thing that could happen is that it's somebody I've already gone on a date with before, and I don't know it yet.

So if I'm interested in them, l just maintain really deep eye contact with when I want to be sexy.

So I have a hard time being like serious sexing, like if I'm gonna do it, there's gotta be like some humor involved which I think is always fun.

So I am headed towards my first date with Nick now.

Really nervous.

Nervous levels.

Like, if I'm going in for a job interview, So really anxious.

But I'm excited.

So I got there pretty early, like, almost 30 minutes early because I was just anxious and I didn't know what else to do with myself.

So I just got there early, x at the bar, and I waited and saw everybody that was coming in for the next 30 minutes.

And then he showed up and he texted me.

And he was the tall guy in black.

I got to the restaurant textural eternal.

I was there.

She was already inside.

She came out.

She kind of like, maybe was gonna go for a handshake.

And it was like, What the hell went in for a hug on?

And then we went in and sat down tall.

He was really tall.

He had really nice eyes, and he was really well dressed.

Should cool haircut, cool hair color, cool clothes, black jacket like a nice lace top.

And she was like small and petite, which is right up my alley.

So it was really cool.

Right away we went to a semi fancy Mexican restaurant in the West Village.

We run Thio, a little Mexican restaurant in the West Village.

It was called a friend that it was very nice and had a nice ambiance.

It was pretty packed, actually.

But a good place, good food.

There really wasn't an awkward moment the whole night.

We just started talking and then just like, kept talking for the next, like, 3.5 hours.

I didn't even know where to start.

I had so many questions for him.

I knew nothing about him.

So it's I didn't know what even the first thing to ask him could be.

I don't think she was exactly what I expected, but I don't really know what I was expecting either.

I don't know what I expected, but even with that, no, he was not what I expected.

I think she looks kind of like Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

We were talking about cause play and she said that she had done a Ramona Flowers from Scott Pilgrim cause play and I could totally see it I got a little bit of color in just five face blue eyes.

It's the first thing that comes to mind.

I thought he was attractive.

I waas So we sat down in the crowded New York restaurant with, like, you know, neighbors right on top of us.

And then we just started talking, and it was like one of those things where we were just kind of absorbed by each other, and he had a lot in common.

She shared a lot of my same interests.

I thought her job was really cool.

It was really interesting asking her questions about that, and we just kind of clicked conversation wise and had a lot to talk about.

So I got there first.

I waited at the bar for him a little bit, and then he texted me that he was there.

Then we just sat on our table and talked and talked and talked about so much to catch up on because we didn't know each other to the point where the waiter kept coming to take our order.

But we hadn't even looked at the menu yet a couple of times, so eventually we ordered and still was even hard for me to finish my food because we were talking.

So what?

We had a few drinks we both had to at the restaurant.

And then once we wrapped up there, we went to another little part on the street that Nick found and kept the night going there.

I think it was definitely a lot more comfortable once we were at the bar.

Um, I feel like I was just rambling to him, but he took it pretty well.

And then I had to take a train home because it was getting late and he walked me to the station, which was really nice.

And there was a good night.

Yes, absolutely.

I could tell he was really smart.

I thought she was super smart.

She's she's an engineer, so clearly you got to be pretty smart to be able to do that job.

But yeah, she very much held my interest.

I really liked hearing about her job and what she does.

She also had, like, interests that was different from mine, like she's really into Star Trek.

That's like one nerd thing that I don't really get into.

But she was telling me about that which was cool here and like, it could be fun if we keep hanging out, like maybe she'll get me more into Star Trek.

He knew this bar that was right down the street that he wanted to go to.

So we just walked there and then ordered a round of drinks.

We walk a couple blocks away to a little dive bar that I know and got a couple more drinks and kept talking.

There was no kiss.

I don't kiss on the first date.

No, unfortunately, there was not a kiss.

So we got to the station and I thanked him for walking me there because it was pretty cold out.

And then we gave each other hug and we said goodbye and we think each other for a really fun night.

We left the bar.

I walked her to the train stop that she needed to get to.

She's from Florida and didn't have on the proper coat, and so she was very cola.

Put my arm around her, trying to keep her warm on.

Then we got to the train.

I asked his money and questions as I could.

I really wanted to get to know who she was.

Yeah.

I definitely think I was asking him a lot of questions during dinner.
