I thought I would do a quick vlog today about why I don't do a boot linen.

And there's really two primary reasons for this.

First of all, a lot of people have been asking me Why don't I just do a boot clinics onto the laptops?

I've been testing out, you know, why don't I just get windows plus do Abou clinics?

I could even get Mac OS X going with the next to a boot.

And the first reason is there's just too much maintenance you gotta do.

You have separate files, you got the transfer files around, you got the update, all the software and start any software you want to use twice.

Just keep everything maintained.

And over the long run over years of usage is just going to weigh down on you mentally and all the files you do you got back up twice is a complete pain.

And if you can, is going to be simpler.

If you could just get on, say, mac OSX or something.

Single boot computer.

You got everything going for you.

And so for me, the time savings over years of usage of not having to maintain two different computers, which is essentially what dual booting is like.

That's worth it to me because I'm saving hours of time just keeping everything updated, keeping everything maintained, updating on the software band camp on my files, all of that stuff.

The second thing to know is I used Lennox, but I've never actually used it the way you guys think you're using it.

Like I'm not even sure if this is something that professionals do where they get Lynn Nix with the graphical you y interface and then start running chrome on it and gimp or other like APS and just trying to use it with a visual interface like that.

I don't know if that's really a thing that people do when I think about using.

Windex usually is for server software, and that's a complete Text Joe interface.

You know, it's just the command line.

So if you're do a bunny Lynn Nix in their way, that industry pros maybe using it, then what you may want to be doing is just running it using text command line interface only and not using any of those visual you y things because I think that's how I use it and probably what the other pros are thinking when they mentioned using Lynn Nix.

You know, the index is used to run like Apache Web servers at my secret databases, notes surfers and things like that.

It's not really used to run chrome so that you can surf the Internet unless you're being just really cheap and you don't want to pay the OS licenses for, say, Mac OS extra Windows, then, yeah, maybe you can get something going on.

Lynn Nix.

The other thing on, though, is suffer.

Support is actually pretty bad on Lenox like you can't run the adobe suite so you don't get father's shop.

You don't get light room, you don't get premier.

And what happens is probably over time people who use the Lynn Nix computers.

I think that probably just become back, and engineers were just finding this great.

But for me, I'm actually more like a full stack engineer.

I used further shop all the time because many times I'll be going in there to create the front and assets or just tweaking them slightly and then using them on the client and also getting into video work like, say, with YouTube that requires, like Adobe Premiere.

If you didn't even have the tools for, say, photo editing, design work or video editing, you may just never get into it.

You may have denied yourself the ability to even be interested in the topic like that.

So I think from that perspective, clinics can be somewhat limiting for you.

Like I would say, it's not really a good thing to give to a student when they're still out exploring, trying to figure out where their interests me like they could just be forced into doing back and work only.

I also note that Lynn Next may not have very good support for other things.

Like, you know, Google, Dr Dropbox.

It doesn't have, like ex coach for IOS, Development is really good for only one thing like and that's back and development.

And if you're not really interested in back and development or if you may still be exploring other things, then you know it's not going to be the right choice for you if our you're interested in is reading like scripts, Python scripts and C plus plus programs, and working on databases.

Then fine.

Yeah, you know, the next is going to be great for you, but overall is somewhat limiting, especially for a tech professionals.

At some point, a lot of people are doing somewhat four stack work.

It really helps if people can sometimes go in and tweak a design, asset and further shop.

If the designer is not around so you can avoid that back and forth cycle, save some time.

And so that's where I think clinics sometimes falls a little bit short.

You know, I think a lot of people have too much pride and using clinics because they think it's cryptic and it makes them seem like a hacker or something like that.

Maybe it's simply because it's cheap and they don't want to go out and pay for actual hardware or software.

I don't know.
