Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles (gentle festive music) - Good morning. I am so excited. (clapping) Welcome to another vlogmas at the Kellgren-Fozard family home. Actually, the first one in our new house. The next 25 videos are going to be a mix of different things, some very vloggy, some kind of collabs, some Jessica randomly pontificates. As you can tell, I am ready for the season. Granted, I'm wearing pajamas, but still, ready. Today we are going on a really exciting journey, sponsored by the train and coach app Trainline. So I will actually get dressed. This year, as with every other year, I'm going to be posting my 25 advent outfits of the day on Instagram. This doesn't count, again, pajamas. Okay, I may also post this at some point, 'cause who knows with my energy levels. This year's very special however as each day of advent will include a special message and you too can take part in the joy and something special could be arriving in your mail if you take part, so stay watching until the end to find out what. Ta-da! And today's very special advent message is, bring someone joy. I want you to play along with me on Instagram and go and tell me who you're bringing joy today. And I know exactly who I'm gonna be sharing that joy with, because, if you follow my stories on Instagram you know how often I travel on the train to London. And every single time I go I buy my tickets from Trainline. The app is really easy for me to use, even when I'm in my deepest brain fog. It saves me from queuing to buy tickets, as loads of ticket barriers at stations now use the QR codes that the app generates. And it's easy because everything's all in one place. Since they know I'm a huge fan, Trainline have invited me to become the first member of their Trainline Tribe, creators who love the eco-friendly joy of traveling by train or coach. And not only that, they're helping me to surprise one of my subscribers this Christmas. Actually buying tickets, sorry. Okay. A few weeks ago I saw on Twitter that Jemma, one of my lovely people, had lost her grandfather, who she was really close to, and I just knew that I had to do something to help raise her spirits. So I had a hamper of goodies and I had been secretly messaging Jemma's girlfriend and she sneakily convinced her to head to London for a day out, but, we're actually meeting for afternoon tea, and obviously going by train. Which is great, because Claudia's recently become obsessed with our carbon footprint. - As we should all be. - Sure. What's that magazine? She's recently subscribed to a magazine called... - Ethical Consumer. I mean it is filled with quite a lot of random stuff to be honest, you have to kind of pick and choose which is relevant and which is a bit much. - Okay. Yeah she now checks every company and business that we go near. - I feel really bad about wearing fleeces now. - Oh yeah, one of your favorites. - I know. Anyway. But yeah, cars, obviously big contributor. Four to five thousand tons of CO2 a year, one car has. So if you can car share or get the train, doing your little bit. - Indeed. - I really love trains, actually. As a little kid, going on a train was one of my favorite things. Do you remember when you used to go on long train journeys and they'd give you like a kid's pack? - No. - We went on long train journeys from Bristol to the Lake District, and when you go through the barrier with your kids they like hand you a pack that has coloring in stuff. - I never got that. - Dot to dot. - I remember the trains where you'd have to like push the window down to actually open the door to get off. - Yeah, yeah! And you could jump on the train actually as it pulled away if you could like get onto the door quick enough. For health and safety reasons they've stopped that. - I was telling Stevie the other day about reservations, when they used to have the little paper reservation sign on each seat. - They still do that. - Do they? - Yeah, there was some drama recently in the news because some old couple didn't give up their seat for a family that pre-booked, because they felt they deserved the seats more even though the woman had prepaid for them. Ah. But yeah, we've both got electric bikes. - We do, we both have electric. I have my own electric tricycle now. - You would be a bit unsafe on a bike. You can't balance. - It'd be a terrible idea. But yeah, this is about trains, so. - This is about trains, so not my new tricycle. - But you could bring your electric bike on the train as well. - You could, actually, 'cause yours folds up really neatly. - Yeah. - The wonders of the train. (upbeat festive music) We are 15 minutes away from Victoria Station and half an hour away form surprising Jemma. - We've arrived at London. - On our way, on our way. My God, we're ready, we've got our beautiful afternoon teas all set out, we're just waiting for Jemma's arrival. I'm very excited. I hope that she loves everything. Bit nervous. Are you nervous too? - Yeah. 'Cause we've gotta get it all on camera. - Trying to look the other way, because I think she's behind me. Don't turn around. Hello. Hi. I thought that you needed a special surprise. - Oh my God. - So, I booked you a lovely afternoon tea, and I have a hamper of goodies for you, beause I saw on Twitter that you needed some cheering up. - Oh my God. - Are you good? - No. Oh my God, thank you.
