Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles hey everybody Jennifer from Tarle speech with your two for Tuesday our words today are great fantastic and grate to shred kind of like what you do with cheese you can grate cheese for your pizza to say these words correctly we're going to start with that gr combination to do this be sure that there is no vowel sound between the G and the R we are not going to say gah reat to avoid this think about keeping your mouth in about the same spot gr gr so what I do is I have the tip of my tongue and the bottom of my mouth at the back of the tongue pulled way high up for that G sound and then I move my lips to that square tense shape and that helps me bring my tongue into the right spot for my er sound now I make my R sound with the tip of my tongue in the bottom of my mouth but you can also make it with the tip of your tongue flipped back which ever one works for you just again no sound between next move to the long a vowel do this by opening your mouth and then moving to a smile your tongue is going to move from the bottom of the mouth with the tip being in the bottom of the mouth and the back being pulled up to nice and flat and high in the mouth a a and then we're going to end with a T by touching the tip of the tongue to the back of the top front teeth great great great the new fireplace grate looks great I should give you the definition I totally forgot grate also means something that you can put over a sewer or a fireplace it's a metal shield so to protect that so let's do these words one more time great great great and the new fireplace grate looks great give it a try people are going to notice the difference if you found this helpful please give us a like and a share and visit us at Tarle speech for our class options and I hope to see you again soon thank you
