Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles You know our next guest, is Kimmy Schmidt, and occasionally is the guest host of this show. Please, welcome Ellie Kemper. Hi. Hi, guys. Hi, Ellen. Oh, happy birthday. You turned 40 last week. Yes, Ellen. I turned-- the big four, oh. We had a blowout bash. We had cake from-- I saw my parents because I'm in St. Louis. So we eat cake from across the yard. I didn't do anything too spectacular. I'm 40 years old. But it's a weird-- it's a good-- I had a very low key birthday. It was good. Yes, it's a weird time for people to have birthdays because my niece just had a birthday. And we had to drive by and throw presents at her. We couldn't even see her. We just had to throw them. That's why she had that bump on her head. Yeah, she's OK now though. She's fine. So listen, this is crazy. I don't think I've spoken to you since when you guest hosted the show in December. You were playing Holy Roller. I have to show-- this is crazy. Let me just show the clip and let's talk about it. - I'm going to demonstrate first to show you how easy it is. Oh my gosh! [APPLAUSE] That never happens. That never happens. It literally defied physics. Now I have to say. I'm not great with balls. I was feigning confidence. Like, I went in there with a lot of bravado, I guess. I felt like, OK, if I act confident, maybe I'll get it. The fact that I got it on my first try is insane. And I guess I'm just extraordinarily fit or something. And then [INAUDIBLE] got it. Yep, so then the person playing that you pull down from the audience got it on her first try, which that was even more insane. No, yeah. Like, there was something in the air, and it was absolutely a magical day. By the way, I had a baby earlier. Getting the ball in on Holy Roller like rivaled that in terms of one of the best days of my life. Sorry, Matthew. I mean, they were both really good days. Right, no, I understand. To me, it would be getting the ball through the hole versus having a baby come out of the hole. You say that now. I guess we're not going to keep-- we're probably not going to keep that in. I don't know. But anyway. So your son, what's your son's name? So I have two sons. The older one is James. He's three, and my younger son, the baby, is Matthew, James and Matthew. So James would be the one who made up the game, right? OK, so no, Ellen, James did not make up this game. Mom, Ellie, the 40-year-old woman made up this game. So basically we've all been in quarantine. We've all been trying to make the best of our own situations. And I feel like, not only do I keep my brain nimble, but also to keep myself physically fit, I developed my own homemade version of Holy Roller. And should I demonstrate it? Do you want to see what I've come up with or no? Let's do it after the commercial break. Let's take a break. Andy's saying we have to take a break. That's his only job, is to keep time. So I have to listen to him because I really want him to feel useful. So we're going to take a break and then we will play that game after this. That's great. Take a break. We'll be back.
