Candy and I are on our way to the Grove in Los Angeles.

The Grove is a really popular shopping area and they have a good... flea market, is it?

I think it's called the Farmer's Market.

The Farmer's Market, yeah ok. The Farmers Market ...

They have really fun stores and they have the American Girl store, right? What is called? American Girl?

Yeah, I think it's called American Girl. We went there a few years ago and we were pretty amazed

at how elaborate this doll store was. It was three floors - there was like a tea room

We even saw Conan O'Brien - which is our favorite comedian - he even went there

So we rewatched that episode and we were like, we gotta go back. We gotta check it out again.

Yeah.

I don't know why we're so obsessed with doll stores.

It's just... it's fascinating.

It's fascinating to us. Hahaha!

Everything's like pink in there.

So we're actually staying at an Airbnb close to The Grove so we're walking to it right now

Oh yeah, it's just right across the street.

It's actually a really nice day today. A little bit chilly when the sun's not out but in general, Cali's a good day.

It is.

It's like a cute, cute place.

So when people think of things to do in LA, they don't really think of The Grove.

But everything happens here. I feel like if there's a new line of clothing

or if there's some celebrity book signing - because there's a Barnes and Noble here - or cool pop-up shops

they always happen here. So there's a ton of stuff going on here.

They have restaurants - of course, all the normal shops are here too.

But they also make it really enjoyable with water fountains in the grassy area with music.

Yeah, it's very pretty here.

So actually a lot of locals come here and there are a lot of tour buses that come here too.

Because there's also a Farmer's Market. There's actually quite a bit to do here.

And they even have a movie theater right here.

And a movie theatre, so there's a lot going on here.

Yeah, it's very nice.

I like that Grove sign.

So what just happened, Crystal?

So apparently, you're not supposed ot shoot any video or pictures unless it's on an iPhone

So we just switched to our iPhone. Hopefully we can get some stuff around here.

Because we really wanted to capture the American girl cafe... er, um... is that it over there?

There it is. How did we miss it?

So this is American Girl. It's like a popular doll and each doll has its own story

and me and Candy just found out about this like 3 years ago or something like that?

And when we walked in here, we were just blown away at

1, how huge this place is and 2. how each doll is detailed and has its own story

like there's one play 1800s... there's one, you know, that has to go through like this rough journey

and there's one... they're all from different time periods with their own story

and they have their own clothes

Oh! And each one of them has a book - like a series or something

but yeah so you'll know more once we like look around here - what it's all about.

We thought there was only girls here but there's boys here too.

The cutest thing here is that you can get matching outfits with your doll.

Look! There's like this spaceship - er - space dress and then the little child can get a dress too that matches!

I mean, even down to this!

Oh how cute!

Oh and even the backpack? Wow! A backpack because she a backpack just like it.

I mean wow, the attention to detail in this. You just get a mini version of yourself basically.

I might get one today.

Oh yeah. She's from '63.

Yeah so it's around that time when they did that show I think.

What a cool outfit she has on.

Okay so... oops I'm like covering it. We're not used to shooting on our phones like this.

Because we're not allowed to shoot with our actual video camera

but um... we thought it was 3 floors... for some reason we remembered 3 floors - it was 2.

This one thing that we noticed that was funny when we came last time was there was

a little actual hospital clinic to take your dolls if you thought your doll was sick and they got rid of that.

I know, I think that was like the best part.

Yeah I thought that was like so realistic.

It was so bizarre but so great at the same time - hahaha!

Maybe that's what it was - they're like

this is too bizarre to teach our kids that their babies can get sick so.. hahaha!

But I still love this store. I think it's still super awesome.

It's fascinating in there.

Yeah I just wish we had a daughter or something that we could bring with us hahaha

I love that, you know, each doll that's like a story and you can even dress like your doll

I mean that's so cool. I love that aspect of it.

Yeah this is what happens when you're old and you don't have kids. You start liking these kind of things. Hahaha!

So we just look like creepers in there... especially me.

Yeah like why'd you wear those sunglasses? They're like the worst sunglasses to wear in there.

This bakery is so cute.

It is SO cute.

Crystal knew about this place and I didn't. She went to one in... you went to one in New York, right?

Yeah, New York.

Oh yeah, that's the one I had. It is SO good!

That's a lot of almonds on there hahaha!

Yeah, it's AMAZING.

Halo Top ice cream. I love this ice cream. Candy doesn't like this ice cream but I like it.

Well I had um... vanilla - no, chocolate and strawberry I think.

I don't know why, I didn't really like the texture... the flavor was good but Crystal likes it so...

So it started raining so we're kind of like taking cover in here hahaha

I want loose-fitting jeans... which doesn't seem to exist.

Oh my gosh, this bakery smells amazing.

I think you smell crepes.

Or is it crepes? I don't know what it is but it smells amazing.

Oh no wait, there is a bakery here. Maybe I'll just get some bread. I'm gonna do that.

It says they were finalists so I'm gonna get it.

Their almond croissants are all out.

Awww.

I love, LOVE almond croissants.

So this carrot cake looks so cool and I was about to buy one but how much was it, Candy?

Uhhh... $25.

How much?

Twenty-five.

Twenty-five dollars.

We were thinking maybe like $15 but when we got the total, we were like

"Ooohhh, $25? I don't know about that."

Yeah, that's a little bit much.

It's a little bit above our price range for a casual dessert.

Yeah, just for that little thing. I mean it is really cool but yeah very, very hefty price.

And then Candy got the baguette.

Yeah so it said they won an award for the best baguette. And I love baguettes. It is very good. I like it a lot.

And I got a croissant. It looks really good. I wanted the almond croissant but they were all out.

Look at that.

Yum.

There's that cop over there - that guy over there. He is the one that told us that we can't record anything

on our little GoPro while we saw everybody else on their DSLR cameras

just like taking all these pictures so...

Yeah, he told us like no GoPros, no DSLR cameras. Only iPhone.

And we see everyone else using DSLRs and they don't get in trouble for it.

What the heck?

Why are we the only ones getting cautioned?

Yeah! I just don't understand.

Makes no sense why we're the only ones.

Why us? Why us?

I mean the Grove is really nice. There's so much to do. It's a cute little place.

We did lots of shopping and lots of good eats. The bakeries are really, really good.

Yeah we don't really do shopping but it's kinda like we're on a little vacation this time

So we wanted to do a little bit of shopping. Crystal's looking for some denim.

Yeah, I couldn't find any good jeans that fit me correctly.

Yeah but what's neat about this place is that everything is close

and it's outdoors too so it's actually fun to go shopping here.

It is really fun.

And there's a lot of my places you can stop and take breaks and have coffee

And really great bakeries to stop by at. The scenery here is awesome. There's water fountains, music -

sometimes they have live musc.

Music at the water fountains is really cool. Like a mini Vegas.

Yeah sometimes in the grassy area, they have live music.

Oh and if you just decide that you want to go watch a movie, there's a movie theatre here.

Oh yeah, there is a movie theatre!

And then the Famer's Market. SO much stuff at the Farmer's Market that you just can't decide

because there's like too many things. It smells so good in there.

Another thing is that it's constantly changing and evolving so there's always new pop-up shops.

When I came here a few years ago - I feel like a lot of the shops have changed.

Now there's that Halo ice cream shop.

Yes!

I was like, Oh my gosh, I can't believe they're here.

And then Kristin Cavallari's pop-up shop, Uncommon James, was there so I got my earrings!

And Candy did too.

Oh and I got my ring.

So yeah, I mean it's definitely - I see why this is the place people go to.

Yeah.

If you're a local here in LA, everyone usually is always like, Oh, let's just meet at the Grove.

Because there's always something for everyone there.

Yeah, definitely a cool place to stop by in LA.

Yeah and I actually ran into two people here, hahaha! So yeah, everyone really does come here.

Yeah, hahaha!
