Tarpon Springs is about 40 minutes from Tampa, where I lived on.

The reason why I'm going to target spring today is because my friend invited me to brunch and then afterwards we're gonna go see the city.

I didn't know what that was until I looked it up.

And apparently and Tarpon Springs every year around this time in January, it's January 6.

Today they celebrate the epiphany, uh, spring by who torments rings.

They're supposed to be thousands of people at this event, and tar pit Sprinkles on that big, so I'm guessing it's gonna be pretty crowded.

I'm not huge on huge gatherings like this, but it sounds pretty interesting.

So I'm excited to kind of see what it's all about.

So what they dio is, I think around noon, the archbishop will throw across into the spring value, and 57 young men will go into the dive into the water and hope to get that across.

So the epiphany is a centuries old celebration, Um, Commemorating the baptism of Jesus Christ.

And after the crosses retrieved afterwards, they're gonna have celebrations.

There's gonna be some festivities with food and, uh, other things that I don't know, but, uh, well, we'll find out.

Also, Tarpon Springs is a great town.

Um, there's a lot of Greek culture there, and it's known for awesome Greek restaurants.

And, um, they also are no verse punches there because it used to be a big sponge doc area.

Find lots of different sponges.

They're little shops.

It's a really neat area.

My friend lives right by the spring volume.

So that's why she's posting this brunch.

And I might be over.

So I'm going kind of ah, roundabout way to my friend's house.

Since she lives right by spring value where the event is going to be held.

There's a lot of road closures, so make sure you're gonna go this event to look on, um, their website or there's information if you google it about all the road closures that are happening.

So, yeah, I'm just gonna go kind of around to avoid, like, the main area of downtown Tarpon Springs.

So now we're walking over to the spring by you, Teoh.

Luckily, my friend lives super close.

So we're all just walking over people here, like 12.

Like on the other side way close to it to see them do this dive.

And it happened like cats, like five seconds already.

There's a rumor going around.

Boy is responsible kissing all the female homeowners.

Tarpon Springs for four days and good luck to the winner.

Now, we're gonna get into the city on the sea.

We're gonna find the boy that I think that's where the booth.

Families home now a little pretty interesting event.

I didn't actually get the boys coming across, uh, water Teoh, get the cross.

But I know for next time if I go that I need to be on the other side of the water to actually see it.

For some reason.

In my head, I was thinking they would have, like, some kind of far to get this cross, but it was a very short distance.

What happened?

Superfast in, like 10 seconds.

It was over just like that on.

And then afterwards they go to the church and they everybody congratulates the boy and got him for a little bit.

He looks super happy.

And he was like a celebrity for the day.

And apparently, um, you know, for the rest of the year have good luck.

And I'm sure he'll retain his celebrity status to the year and until, like, the next year, when the boy will get the cross and then they're supposed to be some festivities Afterwards, I walked around for a bitch.

Um, but we didn't stop by because I had to go use the bathroom.

So we all went back to my friend's house and enjoyed our time there for the rest of the day.

Uh, yeah, they're supposed to be some festivities dancing, um, some food.

But we were fooled from the brunch That's worth checking out of here in the Tarpon Springs.

There, here in the Tampa Bay area in January in Florida.

It's super nice, like today was perfect.
