and words let's take a look at our words here our lesson today is going to be

more about word stress so both of these words start with pro and you can for

sure say Pro nouns and pro nun see a shun that is fine however when we are

stressing these words syllable two in pronounce is the stressed syllable so

that syllable is going to be louder longer and higher and pitch and then

conversely syllable 1 will be lower in pitch softer and shorter so that's why

I'm going to use that super short uh sound there pronounce pronounce

this tion ending when we add it to a word it shifts the word stress in the

root word it is stress imposing so what that means is we are going to stress the

syllable right before this shun so we're not going to say pronunciation it

will be pronunciation so this is going to be the loudest the longest and the

highest and pitch meaning all of the others will get shorter softer and lower

in pitch so again we have Pra nun see a shun so we have pronounce
