Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles With less than two weeks to go to the November election, U.S President Donald Trump and Democratic challenger Joe Biden faced off in their second and final debate on Thursday night. The matchup came just as several states marked record resurgences of COVID-19. Anyone who's responsible for that many deaths should not remain as president of the United States of America. It was one of Trump's last chances to defend his track record as president. And while it never devolved into a shouting match like the last debate, [incoherent shouting] the two clashed sharply over Trump's approach to the pandemic. I say we're learning to live with it. We have no choice. Learning to live with it? Come on, we're dying with it! The two candidates quickly pivoted to Trump's repeated accusations that Biden and his son, Hunter, engaged in unethical practices in China and Ukraine. I don't make money from China, you do. I don't make money from Ukraine, you do. The New York Times had reported earlier this week that Trump maintains his own bank account in China, but no evidence has been verified to support the president's allegations against Biden. And after a back and forth, Biden called those accusations false and accused Trump of trying to distract Americans. There's a reason why he's building up all this malarkey. There's a reason for it. He doesn't want to talk about the substantive issues. It's not about his family and my family. It's about your family, and your family's hurting badly. Trump and his children have been accused of conflicts of interest of their own, most involving the family's international real estate and hotel businesses. But Biden asserted that he had never made a single penny from a foreign country, instead taking Trump to task over his tax returns. The New York Times reported late last month that the president paid almost no Federal income tax over more than 20 years. Why don't release your tax return to stop talking about corruption? Trump's effort to uncover dirt on Hunter Biden's Ukraine business ties led to his eventual impeachment, and despite Trump's last ditch attempt to resurface those allegations Thursday night, the president may be running out of time to influence the outcome of the election. A record 47 million Americans have already cast their ballots, eclipsing total early voting from 2016.
