Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles My name is Breanna. I'm from Leeton and I'm a childcare worker I've been a childcare worker for about 6 months now I just decided there and then, that day that I wanted to do it It's very special knowing that you can teach the kids and they learn so much I went to school here from Year 10 to Year 12. It wasn't too bad I was kind of a little naughty but as I grew up a little bit I just learned the adult ways At the childcare that I work at, there's a little over 50 kids. Doing their nails, doing their hair, playing in the sandpit, changing nappies all the time It's awesome, I love it! I like to go to the speedway here in town My dad races and I like to spend to spend time with my dog When I was at school, I didn't really think of having a job and then when I left school, I was thinking, well what am I going to do now? Not having a job, not earning my own money it was very boring Oh, I slept in, didn't get out of bed then one day I just wanted to get out of bed and actually do something about it I wanted to work, earn my own money so I can actually get myself a house jobactive and the workers around here are awesome. They're the best people that you could possibly be around My jobactive provider is more of a counsellor to me than anything She helps me out a lot. Rings me up to see if I'm okay See if I need help with anything. She's always there It's special to me knowing that I'm a teacher and I can teach children at the centre to do different things, activities, anything It's just amazing! It's stressful not having a job So my advice would be - don't sleep in at all It's probably the worst thing that you could do Get up, do something about it, and go and get a job It's hard at the start but you'll get there Even if you have to go to TAFE or university They'll help you out and you'll get there (music)
