Now, what has been going through your mind?

What was the biggest thing that was that's been going through your mind since Saturday night?

Um, I want to collect more titles, man.

That's what it is.

But I'm also thankful.

I just want to get all the glory to God, man.

And just the fact that we did something remarkable at a young age man.

Just just that part right there alone.

We said it and we conquered and we did.

We got the job done.

There's a lot of after the fight Lomachenko started too late.

But to my mind, if you want to say anything you say, Look, Te'o was a naturally bigger guy.

He had some kind of a size advantage although Lomachenko was beating all the other lightweights.

But this started too late thing he was he It's not that he was started too late.

You wouldn't let him in.

You dominated him with your jab with your body shots with the threat of the big right hand with your activity.

How does it feel to hear this?

Oh, if Onley Loma would have done X, y and Z when there were two guys in there and one of the guys you were dictating what he was doing, um, for me, I'm just happy that everybody tuned in, Uh, just for the fact that people want to say that I think that they just don't wanna believe the fact that someone of my youth and my experience was able to do that to someone that was ready to number £1 for pound in the sport of boxing.

Um, you know, there's so much more that we can do.

And I'm just thankful.

Like I said, I need someone like Goma to bring out the best in me.

And I was able to do that, um, Saturday night on October 17.

What was amazing to me is you outboxed him and and they mentioned it on the broadcast.

You know, he has this incredible footwork.

He surrounds guys, he steps around them.

And your feet were quick enough that you were turning with him, and you wouldn't let him.

But starting in the seventh round, you one if not the 1st, 6th and 5 of the first six, the second round was in question.

But you may have won all first six rounds, and you may have also won the seventh.

Although I think the seventh was close to.

But by the 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th, he started to rough you up.

He started to, you know, usually he figures a guy out, and then he executes the game plan, and it looked like we had moved into that phase of the fight.

He was headbutting you.

He was landing many more shots than he did early.

And he was much more active going into the 12th round.

Your dad says you have this thing one.

And I wasn't so sure.

I thought if Lomachenko wins the 12th, he might get a draw out of this.

Obviously, you were.

It seemed like you weren't so sure, either.

Ding ding, round 12.

What are you thinking is you come out of the corner.

Oh, no.

Coming out of the corner.

I knew that he was going to come and we were ready for that.

You know, honestly, when we were ready touching gloves in the 12th round.

I thought we were going into the 10th.

And, you know, I just zoned in.

And I guess, you know, television.

The fact that what I noticed, though it wasn't that I wasn't I knew I wanted to fight.

And my father, who is my coach, he knew what he was talking about.

However, I wanted to finish with a bang.

And if I could drop this guy, I'm going to take that chance.

And I said it, um And I went after him and I did what I had to do in the 12th round.

I pushed and I pressed the gas on him.

I think that he didn't expect that from me.

And I noticed that.

And I took that advantage and I noticed that he was huffing and puffing a lot more.

Um, sadly, you know, uh, you know, we got a bad head, but in that round, you know, closing the fight.

But, you know, I'm a warrior man.

I fight through anything.

Well, you have not Onley championship medal.

But even Lomachenko said this before the fight.

He hadn't watched you a lot, but when he did.

He saw a very high boxing i Q and for you to outbox Lomachenko and then bathe him in and even analyzed the fight this way.

I think that shows it.

You're the undisputed, lightweight champion of the world.

There are no other belts because the way the sanctioning bodies work, when one guy wins, there really belt and he has other belts.

They call him the super champion because they know he won't be able to defend it.

They can't make sanctioning fees.

Then they have a quote unquote regular title.

So there are a couple regular titles floating around out there.

But as the super super duper champion, whatever you are, as soon as you win them, they would strip you of them and create a new one again for someone else.

So it doesn't matter.

You're the undisputed lightweight champion of the world, but you've had a hard time making 135 the last couple of years.

Are you staying?

If it's a tank, Davis beat Santa Cruz and says, Hey, yeah, I do wanna fight tail.

Would you stay at 1.

35 for a fight like that?

Honestly, they need me more than I need them.

You know what I mean?

And we did our part.

We beat the guy that they didn't want to fight, and we did it in old school fashion.

You know, we outboxed the boxing.

And so going back to your question, Max is honestly, um, are they willing to step up to the plate?

You know, I've been at this way for seven years now, and, you know, we've been much better.

We had a long layoff, but we succeeded and we were able to make the weight.

But I don't know, man.

I don't know, Max.

We gotta wait and see.

You know, there's a lot of there's a lot of fish to catch at 1 40 as well, you know, trying to make history and become undisputed world champion.

I want 40 is something that is on my mind has been on my mind.

Well, I won't doubt your next time, but, you know, before Cashes Clay beat Sonny Liston.

If you have seen him against Henry Cooper and Doug Jones, you wouldn't have picked him to win that fight either.

Um, will you give Lomachenko a rematch if he wants one?

There's no point.

There's no point.

They didn't give me a rematch clause in the contract and I didn't think they expected me to win.

So no can be real with you.

I did my part.

I want to fight.

And now it's XYZ his time Thio his reign is over.

You know what I mean?

He left like a sore loser that he is.

And wait, We did what we had to do.

You know, I respectfully went to his corner.

I said goodbye to his father.

I said goodbye to him and hey, just had a He had a chuckle about it.

So, you know, we left it at that.
