  • This is This is your fifth career World Series starts.

  • So you're you're familiar with what comes with this?

  • You're familiar with what it might feel like.

  • I just wonder in this, you know, different time.

  • Just sort of as you prepared for for this moment.

  • What if anything felt different about it?

  • Yeah.

  • It was a great, great game tonight, all the way around for us.

  • Um, you know, it didn't feel it didn't feel too different other than being not in our home ballpark or being on the road or anything like that.

  • But, um, you know, like you said, I've got to do this before.

  • And, um, you know, the last couple haven't gone so well for me, so I'm fortunate toe, get out there in game one and get another chance at it.

  • And, uh, you know, we pulled out a win tonight and our guys played awesome.

  • And, um, we're excited.

  • Come back tomorrow, try to do it again about that.

  • And there's We've talked about this through the years.

  • There's no way toe elegantly ask the question.

  • But I mean, you you pitched as well as anybody in the regular season in the postseason is what it is.

  • So how do you manage?

  • Just carrying around whatever that is.

  • If it's anything to you.

  • If that occupies any of the space in your head on a day like today, what the chance tonight represented for you personally, you're just a good as your next start, man.

  • So, um, just try to make, uh, make your pitch is have a good start, and then four days from now, try to make another good start.

  • And, uh, that's that's all I think about.

  • I'm not worried about what happened in the past.

  • I'm not worried about, um, you know, good games, bad games, things like that.

  • You wash it, you know, I'm gonna celebrate tonight.

  • And if I had a bad one, I would have been disappointed tonight.

  • But tomorrow's a new day and, uh, we want to know in the world Siri's, That's pretty special, man.

  • We'll come back and try to tomorrow right on.

  • And you guys are very familiar with this.

  • Last night on this show, I mentioned that there's like, 17 guys in your dugout that that have been through this and there's Charlie Morton on the other side that has If there's a value in in that Clayton being familiar with what this stage is, how do you describe what that would be if it's anything?

  • Um, yeah.

  • You know, I think the one thing that experience could do is that no, that you've done it before and that you've had success in that situation.

  • So, um, you know, for for the guys in that clubhouse, you know what we did in the last series coming back 31 I think we can, you know, from our past experiences know that we can win games in the postseason.

  • And, um, when you got guys in the clubhouse like J t like Mookie like seeks, like months all the way down the line up, Um, you just have that belief in that confidence and guys.

  • And so I think that's what postseason experience does.

  • It just gets you that little extra belief that you can win a game in the postseason and thankful that we got a lot of that in there.

  • All right, last real quick because we're getting ready to show this highlight.

  • And when we get to the Cody Bellinger home run, I am I nuts?

  • Or does it just does it sound different off his bat than any other person?

  • Bumper?

  • Um, yeah, it za different sound.

  • You know.

  • He's just, uh, he's wiry, strong wire.

  • He's strong, and he's got some juice.

  • And, man, he's come up clutch The last two games for us, he's played unbelievable defense.

  • His shoulders popped out.

  • It's back in now.

  • We're good.

  • And, uh, it's just, uh, just one of the many guys on our team that does some pretty special things on a baseball field.

  • Tell your guys to leave the boppers shoulder alone.

  • We need We need the shoulder intact if you're a Dodger fan.

  • Clayton, Thanks so much for sir.
