D 00 Journey across Japan was supposed to be a family friendly Siri's.

And this is very far from family friendly.

I'm not okay with this.

To be honest with you, when robot historians look up the year 2020 they're going to see the word shit show come up on awful lot.

It's crazy.

When you think back 1000 years to February January, you think of all the hopes dreams expectations you had for this year.

I mean, certainly here in Japan, the country was gonna be the center of the world.

35 million people are expected to descend on the country, and instead we got no people coming on.

The Olympics was canceled.

And yet, of course, that all seems like a very minor problem.

Now, in the grand scheme of things, my purpose presenting before in Japan Channel primarily is to entertain on at times this year.

That's kind of felt very hard to do to find the positivity toe.

Do that.

You want to do that It's one of the reasons I've tried to steer clear of the virus as well.

In a video that I've made, I've found that the U.

K and Japan have never seen so far apart as they do now.

In all the years that I've lived here, especially as for half this year, like all foreign residents living in Japan, I couldn't actually leave the country and then return to it.

Quite a bizarre situation not to be ableto return to the place you've lived in for eight years.

Close relative of mine actually did have heart problems.

And for a time I had to consider.

Should I go back to the UK and just accept that?

I don't know if I'll be able to return to Japan or not?

Fortunately, he recovered in time before I had the chance to get the plane tickets, but it was really bizarre situation.

But honestly, I don't have a right to complain because I do know lots of you guys.

I know lots of friends, family who have been affected by this health problems, lost jobs, lost businesses.

It's all really crap.

It's really not a great year.

That is an understatement.

the only thing that I can do, the only thing I can offer as a youtuber is some sort of temporary form of escapism, even if it's for a brief moment in time.

Now, right now, the number of cases in Japan is actually pretty low.

But going into winter, that could all change as it's expected.

Thio.

So I wanted to use this window to do something, to go somewhere to have an adventure while we still can.

With that in mind, I'm really delighted to announce that we've been able to go out into central Japan into the wilderness and produced a whole new Siri's off journey across Japan six days and 1000 kilometers on the road with one aim to see Mount Fuji, which is something we have consistently failed to dio in abroad in Japan.

I think it had the opposite effect on keeping me saying, unlike the original 28 part journey across Japan, Syria's there were no bikes.

This time I've learned my lesson.

It was a road trip, but that meant we could pack a lot Maurin to those six days on the road on the first episode will air this week and then every week, going through November.

The locations that we saw where anything but conventional.

I don't think you would ever see a TV.

Serie is going to some of these places, but we did put a lot of time and effort into the Siri's.
