- Hi, I'm Jasmine and I am in Los Angeles, California.
(speaks foreign language)
Being in a very diverse city,
I would say that the food I eat
is also kind of all over the place, very diverse.
(speaks foreign language)
Anyway, that's enough talking.
Let's head to the kitchen and let's start the week.
(speaks foreign language)
I've been in meetings since 9:00 AM,
I haven't been able to eat.
I've gotten this pineapple cake with egg yolk filling.
It's so soft, melts in your mouth.
- [Diana] This is my lunch.
(speaks foreign language)
- For lunch today, I am having beef noodle soup.
This is a Taiwanese dish called Niu Rou Mian.
It's leftover broth, I just added in some sour cabbage,
and boiled it with it to make it extra sour.
I am a huge fan of vinegary tastes, cheers.
(speaks foreign language)
For dinner we are having Korean style wings,
and then we have some chicken wings with no sauce.
And then George made this garlic,
honey, butter sauce for dipping.
For dessert, I'm enjoying these plantains.
I actually battered them
in a French toast sort of situation.
It almost tastes like banana bread.
I've been eating dessert every day since COVID.

Good morning!
I am whispering because my boyfriend's in a meeting,
so sorry about that.
For breakfast, I'm having a cup of black tea
and some yogurt topped with some pumpkin fiber cereal.
Nothing too crazy.
(speaks foreign language)
This is my lunch.
It's not pretty anymore, but it's Omurice,
and I put ketchup on top.
And have some spam and spinach on the side, cheers!
(speaks foreign language)
Today for dinner, we are enjoying a slider flight.
And of course I have my bed of kale because, health!
Good morning, I am having some green onion pancakes.
This is Taiwanese.
It's much bigger than the traditional green onion pancake.
Because in Taiwan it's much smaller.
They just wrap it and you can walk and eat.
I'm also having a soft-boiled egg and a glass of green tea.

It's now lunchtime and I am having leftover
chicken pad Thai that my mom got from a restaurant.
Nothing too crazy today, just something simple.
- [Diana] Delivery food day!

- And if you've never had Taiwanese beef noodle soup,
it's spicy, kind of vinegary from the sour cabbage.
If it doesn't have sour cabbage,
you need to add it in there.
And the spice in there is really nice.
When the beef and the beef noodle soup,
just breaks apart when you bite into it.
Good morning, I picked up my camera ready to blog breakfast,
but it's definitely lunchtime now.
Let's go get dressed and get some takeout.
Just got my takeout and then we're gonna go stop
and get boba real quick.
(speaks foreign language)
For lunch I'm having this wonderful Chirashi bowl,
it looks so good, and a miso soup.
I have been craving sushi for the longest time.
My mom was like, let's go get you some sushi.
And I love her for it.
Things like this is what makes 2020
a little more bearable (laughs).
(speaks foreign language)
This is what I'm having for dinner.
This is marinated cucumbers, radish cake,
kale, minced pork with pickles and some fish.
And of course, rice, yum!
These cucumbers are super addicting.
I could eat like a whole bowl of these alone.
(loud crunching)

For breakfast we're having steamed buns.
This one is one of my favorites.
It has a beef curry filling.
Look at the steam.
I used to eat these all the time growing up.
This is like a very convenient breakfast.
We have ground beef, potatoes, onions, and a curry paste.
I know I never, (laughs) my mom's looking at me all weird.
She's like, "Why are you eating it like that?"
I never break it in half before I eat it, usually just.
(speaks foreign language)
It's been a super busy chore day today
and like the very responsible adult I am,
I missed lunch, but don't worry,
I got (laughs) Boba to hold me over until dinner.
I got brown sugar milk tea with boba,
this is my go to drink.
(speaks foreign language)
- Treat yourself.
- It's dinner time, I'm eating pho, I am starving.
I know I said I don't want to take out much,
(laughs) it's a special weekend.
If you don't know what pho is,
it's a Vietnamese beef noodle soup.
I personally like to top it with a bunch of jalapenos,
lime, beansprouts, sriracha, and hoisin sauce.
For today, I got oxtail pho, I went a little fancy.
(speaks foreign language)
For breakfast I made a green smoothie.
In this smoothie, I put orange juice,
spinach, mango, pineapple and a tomato.
Just kidding, I didn't put a tomato (giggles).
For a second, you were like, what the (beep) right?
(speaks foreign language)
For lunch today, we're having air-fried tofu,
and a stir-fry that has wood ear mushroom,
sour cabbage, and some garlic.
We're eating a vegan meal (laughs).
We try to incorporate at least one vegan
or vegetarian meal throughout the week.
(speaks foreign language)

(vehicles humming)
For lunch today, I am making fish cake soup.
It just has a frozen pack of fish cakes.
And then I added in some tofu and green onions.
(speaks foreign language)
(sings in foreign language)
For dinner, we're having pasta with homemade bolognese sauce
and then some roasted green beans with garlic.
For some reason, I sometimes feel silly eating elbows.
I feel like I had a lot of elbows when I was a child.
For dessert, I'm having these
brown sugar boba ice cream bars.
I've been obsessed with these lately.
There's actual boba chunks in there.
You see, so good.
The week is over!
Thank you for cooking and eating with me.
It was really fun sharing
some of my favorite foods with you.
I know it doesn't look like the average American diet,
but I kind of think that's the beauty of it.
No two meals need to look alike.
