  • I got a lead with this.

  • You probably heard about it.

  • We're doing our show from a crime scene.

  • Last night, O Brien kicked off his show with some pretty shocking news.

  • Conan O'Brien says his makeshift set was burglarized.

  • Conan O'Brien reveals that his set was robbed.

  • How bizarre.

  • I'm guessing that's an inside job.

  • Somehow.

  • Can't believe this was all over the news today.

  • Yes, yesterday somebody broke in here, took two laptops, and it's a national story.

  • Yes.

  • Oh, they took two laptops.

  • Uh, they took some of our broadcasting equipment, and they took, which called the class late.

  • The claps, the slate.

  • They took the slate.

  • How did this happen?

  • I don't know.

  • Um, Jason Chillemi, Of course.

  • Our field producer.

  • I'm sure you've been all over this.

  • Do you know where they broke in?

  • We don't You don't know which door they got in through because it doesn't really matter.

  • These doors air like tissue paper.

  • Um, many times I have not been able to get into this theater, and I've just slightly leaned against one of the locked doors and it just pushes over.

  • No, I love it.

  • Do me a favor.

  • Which do you mind?

  • Jason, can you list all the other late night shows that have been broken into and had their equipment stolen?

  • Please give me the list and I'll wait here because it'll probably take a while.

  • Nothing were the Onley show.

  • We're trying to do a good thing tryingto broadcast from a theater in a time of, ah, great national plague.

  • And these robbers bust into this place and steal our stuff, man.

  • And what do you make of it?

  • Well, Flanagan, who owns the theater, told me that there was reports that later that day there were two people attempting to sell laptops down the street to an outdoor cafe, walking around, saying, You wanna buy a laptop?

  • Wait a minute.

  • So the people that stole the stuff from our theater, one would think are down the street.

  • Just walked a few blocks down to a cafe hours later, trying to sell our stuff to a cafe here in West Hollywood.

  • No takers.

  • Yeah, our laptops or too shitty.

  • Oh, Chillemi.

  • What have we done to make sure that this never happens again?

  • We put better locks on the doors.

  • Better locks.

  • You mean we put locks on the doors.

  • There's now locks on the doors now locks on the doors.

  • Okay.

  • Better locks.

  • Meaning we now lock the doors.

  • We're doing what we can.

  • And I think this is a terrible crime.

  • Maybe I might be going on a limb.

  • The worst crime of the 20th or 21st century.

  • What do you think?

  • And the fact that we're able to soldier on that I'm actually able to get up and drive here and sit in this seat and not really do a lot.

  • It's really something under this strain.

  • Yeah.

  • I don't know how I'm doing it.

  • I don't know how you're doing it either.

  • Andy, I don't know how I managed to sit here and do relatively nothing behind this desk in the face of this crisis.

  • I think we both deserve medals of freedom.

  • You steal from us from us.

  • Really?

  • Yeah.

  • No.

  • We should both get medals of freedom, and we'll keep them here at the Largo Theater and they'll be stolen immediately.

  • Then you can look for anyone in West Hollywood.

I got a lead with this.
