Ghostface lacks the supernatural powers you'd find in a character like Freddy Krueger, Candyman or Pennywise.

Unlike Michael Myers or Jason Vorhees, this masked figure isn't a hulking, essentially invincible boogeyman.

Although it may take a couple of shots to finish Ghostface off.

Oh, At the end of the day, all Ghostface needs to wreak havoc is a creepy costume, a knife and a voice changer device.

This is known to be the same costume worn by the killer.

That may sound basic, but Ghostface is one horror movie villain that could exist in the real world.

In a way, Ghostface already does kind of screams.

Screen writer Kevin Williamson was inspired by Danny Rolling, aka the Gainesville Ripper, who rose to infamy six years before the 1996 film came out.

Ghostface has had an impact on a few real life crimes.

After Scream came out, Ghostface became a popular Halloween costume that anyone could purchase.

While there are many real world parallels, Ghostface is a fictional character nonetheless.

We imagine Hollywood would cash in on Ghostface notoriety in Scream to the events of the first film inspire a long running franchise called Stab.
