  • For instance, the fax caused me to feel surprised.

  • The adjective boring is another good example.

  • Suppose some students are taking virtual classes.

  • The classes cause so much boredom that the students fall asleep.

  • You could say those boring classes put the students to sleep.

  • Notice that the adjective boring comes before the noun classes.

  • When participles act as adjectives, they appear in the same position in sentences as normal adjectives.
