  • Where are we going

  • Can't wait to see

  • Abby's Amazing Adventures

  • - With me, Rudy!

  • - Hi! I'm Abby.

  • This is my room,

  • and this is my brother, Rudy.

  • - Hi, we're storing our toys.

  • Cause it got kinda messy in here.

  • Is this part of a game?

  • - Ugh. I think it's an old piece of candy.

  • (both react in disgust)

  • - I'm coming!

  • I'm going,

  • and I'm back!

  • Hi!

  • - [Abby And Rudy] Hi Basket!

  • - I can't wait to show you what I've got today.

  • - What could it be? Count along with me!

  • - [Abby And Rudy] One, two, three!

  • - A recycling bin!

  • - Recycling, that's when they make

  • old stuff into new stuff, right?

  • - Yeah.

  • And today we're going to be kind to the earth by recycling.

  • Just grab onto my handles

  • and we'll go to the recycling center.

  • - Hi ho! Off we go!

  • - Ooh!

  • - And I thought my room was messy.

  • - This is the recycling center.

  • All the stuff that you see around you

  • are things that people threw into recycling bins.

  • This is where it all comes.

  • - Yeah, but it's all mixed together in those

  • big, messy piles.

  • - It sure is.

  • And it's your job as recycling sorters

  • to sort it into the right bins.

  • (items clattering)

  • - Loader! Abby! Loader!

  • - Loader pushes everything onto the conveyor belt

  • where the sorting starts.

  • I'll show you.

  • - Sanitation workers, safety gear!

  • - Check.

  • (alarm blaring)

  • - Your job is to sort the recyclables into three groups,

  • plastic, paper, glass.

  • - We've got a bin for each of them.

  • The plastic goes in that blue bin.

  • And paper in the green one.

  • - And glass in the yellow bin.

  • - Ready to start, recycling sorters?

  • - Let's go!

  • - What's this water bottle made of?

  • I can kind of see through it.

  • It's like an icy window.

  • Is it glass?

  • - I don't know.

  • Glass is usually heavier than this

  • and the water bottle is kind of bendy.

  • I think it's plastic.

  • - Right! Way to think it through.

  • - I think this one is glass.

  • - How can you tell?

  • - I can see through it, but it's heavy, not bendy.

  • - Right on! Keep it up!

  • - Glass.

  • Plastic.

  • Glass.

  • This is fun!

  • - Yeah, and funny too!

  • (Rudy giggles)

  • Somebody left their cartoons on here.

  • - Oh! Those are comics.

  • Sometimes they have them in the newspaper

  • - And newspapers are made out of paper

  • so they go in the paper bin.

  • I'm going to save these comics for later.

  • (alarm blaring faster)

  • - Why'd it speed up all of a sudden?

  • - I don't know, it could be a lot of things.

  • Uh oh!

  • Like how I hit this button by accident.

  • Maybe if I hit it again?

  • (alarm blaring faster)

  • Nope, that's worse.

  • What are we going to do?

  • - Don't give up. We just have to work faster.

  • (both sorting quickly)

  • - Paper!

  • - Plastic!

  • - Glass!

  • (Abby giggles)

  • - Plastic? That's not a word.

  • (alarm comes to a stop)

  • - It stopped. We did it!

  • - Good job, recycling sorters.

  • You sorted all those recyclables.

  • - [Abby And Rudy] Secret handshake.

  • Up high, down low. Yay, we did it! Way to go!

  • - Thanks for your help. Now let's head home.

  • (Abby and Rudy snoring)

  • Wow. All that sorting must have made Abby and Rudy tired.

  • Time to go home.

  • Thanks for your help.

  • Bye for now!

  • - [Abby And Rudy] Bye, Basket!

  • (upbeat music)

  • - Here's a job for you.

  • Be kind to the earth by sorting your trash and recycling.

  • - I'm going to throw this in the paper recycling bin,

  • but I'm going to read it first.

  • - Oh Rudy!

  • - See you next time.

  • On Abby's Amazing Adventures
