And we're staying at the Red Sands Hotel.

So far, first impressions.

This place is really great.

Customer service was top notch nose candy right behind me.

She's already resting.

Yeah.

Pretty tired.

Yeah, we're both pretty tired.

Had a pretty long drive today with a lot of stops, and she was driving through the mountains.

And e don't think we drink enough water because we were so worried about using the bathroom all the time.

But we're here, so we're gonna give you a quick tour of the room.

Then we're probably gonna eat, and then we're gonna go to bed.

E want to start off with the price of this hotel?

It was super cheap.

It was only 100 bucks a night.

Really?

Yeah.

A lot of bucks a night.

It was pet friendly eso for, like, the total with taxes.

I think it was like $212 for two nights.

Really Good deal.

It doesn't look that way from the entrance.

Yeah, entrance is really nice.

The lobby is great.

It must have just remodel, cause everything looks brand new.

I know they remodeled some stuff.

We're gonna show you what they remodeled in here.

And then the restaurant is open to I don't think the restaurant is gonna be open.

That saw some hotels.

Their restaurants were still closed.

But it is open here.

We have noticed that they are more relaxed here with the masks and such because anyone else where massive.

I saw the young people like the younger people.

The younger kids are wearing masks, not young people at the restaurant.

Yeah, I think people that live here are not really wearing masks.

And the tourists that are younger are wearing mask.

But we haven't really seen many people wearing masks once we got here.

So it's like just something to note.

We're going to continue to wear masks because we just wanna protect ourselves and protect our There's just in case.

All right, we'll start the room.

First thing we noticed was that there's two different sized beds.

We've never seen that in the hotel room.

Usually it's like the exact same bed sizes or yeah, so obviously crystalline Kuma, they're gonna get the bigger one.

That's right, E.

I love this carpet always does it from the carpet.

Our last place didn't have carpet, so she didn't get to do this.

Yeah, so I just noticed.

Like, that is a very interesting corner.

It's like end table that's attached to the wall.

This table is probably from before, but the chair looks kind of updated the like.

The little pieces of art are pretty cute.

Actually, I like the, you know, the arrows up there.

I think they they mixed in the old with the new like really well, because I don't think the bed is new.

It doesn't look new to me, but it's nice and clean.

It feels nice.

So we'll see.

The TV is a little bit small, like I don't know how this person is gonna be able to see.

It might have to, like, turn it.

It's like meant just for this person sleeping.

It's just for me and Kuma, which Christian actually never really turns on the TV.

It watches it.

I actually dio like that helps me sleep.

I don't know why I like watching Little bit of TV makes me sleep, but we could move it over.

Yeah, it's probably over a little bit.

Um, And then, yeah.

So there is a microwave, but I've noticed I'm like our trip.

The previous place had a migrate to, which is great, if you wanna warm ups.

Um, you know, some left over from a restaurant.

Nice big fridge.

I love the size of this bridge.

It's not one of those, like, square tiny ones that usually stay in hotels.

So that's nice.

I forgot to mention the console has two drawers.

I don't think there's anything in there, but yeah, nothing in there.

E one hotels provide, like, the channel list instead of me having to keep scrolling through to find something old school telephone.

But they did update their outlets.

So there is a USB outlet.

I love how they put the WiFi code right there for you to see.

So yeah, this is the best bathrooms that actually two parts.

So the sink is actually on that room.

Part is outside of the bathroom.

Eso They think this part is definitely renovated.

And this countertop because this looks like one of those spa type of things.

Didn't we have this at the last hotel to Yeah, I feel one in Mammoth.

Yeah, eh?

So I feel like a lot of the hotels that renovate put the sinking because they're like, Oh, that's on trend.

We're putting that in Or if they're called a resort, because this is called a resort to or a small resort s So it was the mammoth was called a small resort.

E love e.

It does look nice, though.

And can you really like this basket?

She was telling me things is like a new thing that people like.

Rose gold, crystal, these air rose gold.

I think that's Rose Gold.

Okay, Roles e could be wrong, but it looks wrote it looks more rose, gold and copper to me.

Anyway, back thio the sink area what I really liked were the toiletries.

Um, Bigelow or CEO Bigelow was actually really nice brand.

So we're pretty impressed by that.

So they have shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and shower Joe.

We also like that they have liquid soap and not the part.

I mean, they did provide bar soap to we'd rather use the liquid soap and they have disinfectant spray.

That was, does the new one we've seen.

And yea makeup remover always love these.

Over here is where you can hang up your clothes.

Any luggage already Put somewhere luggage Here.

There's the iron laundry bag.

Where is the very important?

I don't see an ironing board, but maybe you request it or something.

And then here is the bathroom.

There's a fan in here.

We always like fans and bathrooms.

Um, but yeah, this is where they have a renovated Everything is pretty old school in here.

Like I haven't seen that style of a tub in a long time.

Like this is super.

I'm gonna say, like, early nineties and the phone, too, Or maybe like late eighties, even on day.

Also say that there flushing system.

Um, our toilets are low flush designed to save water.

So we just have thio flush often and hold down the handle.

One more thing.

Our view were on the first floor in room one, tall or at the very end, by the restaurant.

And on the back of the hotel, we saw a nice view with some clothes or rocks that you could see in the distance.

Yeah, this view, you don't get much.

You should get the parking.

But I just never some cows.

There's some cows out there.

I think there's cows in the back to, you know, being pulled in.

So they have cows everywhere around here, it seems like, um, yeah, I'm I'm pretty excited to stay here.

This is the pool of the hotel and goes, Looks out to this beautiful farmland view Lobby areas.

Nice, please.

Yeah.

So, yeah, there's a horse out there.

Yeah, there's a horse.

And then when it yesterday doing around sense.

So there's a lot of horses, my horses, cows.

I did hear cows the distance, though.

Yeah, satisfaction.

And you can use that area for your laptops and such.

There's lots of outlets are some games over here.

What you read in there?

Um, step on the old West Time life books, Gunfighters.

E feel like I've seen these books before.

Interesting.

So this is called the map room.

A nice area.

Thio chill.

You get some coffee?

Yeah.

There's a cure egg for our coffee.

There's maps.

Hence the map room.

Uh, some information.

And I like this part because it says employees travel experiences.

So you kind of see, Like, what?

The favorite traffic said Way just checked out of Red Sands Hotel.

And overall, we had a really good stay there.

There were some drawbacks, but it was it was really minor.

And there wasn't anything that affect affected our opinion about the overall.

Yeah, because, I mean, I would stay there again, especially because there's limited choices around here.

I wouldn't Yeah, I wouldn't affect my decision to not stay there again.

Yeah, it was very minor.

So one thing Waas the coffee eso Usually if they offered complimentary coffee and their lobby, um, they'll have caffeinated coffee, but they only had decaf, which is so weird.

And so I asked them on and they were just like, Sorry, we only had decaf.

I guess they just not even thinking about restocking caffeinated coffee, I don't know.

But with that being said, they do have free coffee and tea in the mornings from 7 to 11.

And then another thing was I thought was odd was they had an iron, but no ironing board?

That's right on DWI ideo iron My some of my clothes.

Not a whole lot of a lot.

I do bring a lot of wrinkle free clothes, so it's not that much of an issue, but yeah, but we did have to use it.

And we just use the bed, which doesn't do a great job of pirating, but it's just there's no sign saying that, you know, they have one if you call the front desk.

So that was a little odd that there was no ironing board.

Yeah, plus, you know, if they're closed from, like, 7 to 10 and a lot of times we wake up early, you know, 5.

So we can't even call them to get hurting board.

Yeah, I guess you could get it the day before.

If they do have it but anyway, yeah, way got through it.

Okay.

We did.

Iron are close to the bed.

That's just not the best way to do it.

Let's get into the good stuff now.

Getting into the good stuff.

We love the location of the hotel.

It's 10 minutes from the national park.

There are closer hotels, but we really like this one.

I read other reviews on the ones that were closer to the park, and they were really, if a lot of mixed reviews.

But the Red Sands Hotel mostly had good reviews.

They also renovated recently, so the rooms were really nice.

The totally trees were great.

They had great toilet.

Yeah, they had a really good, uh, big name brand.

Who was the CEO?

Bigelow, I think.

Yeah.

They make really great stuff.

I've used their toiletries before, Had some luxury hotel.

So for them to provide that I was kind of surprised.

Yeah, Yeah, The toiletries were a little surprising.

Another thing we loved about this hotel waas the the pool in the view that I had, we loved the outdoor area.

The patio in the lobby was beautiful.

Lobby was yes.

It really didn't have like, this Paul likes and feeling.

It was the natural light in there.

Everything was it wasn't cramped.

Like everything was spaced out.
