And there was sincere uncertainty Mike, about what might happen at the top.

And we saw a guy ultimately get drafted fourth, who didn't start in a very talented Florida State team.

The biggest surprise of the night from your chair was what Patrick Williams going for.

For sure, you know, you were starting to hear that as we got closer to the draft, but just a guy who never started a game and really was a six man, the second youngest player in the draft.

To go that high was a little bit of a swing.

But this is an upside play.

He's really intriguing.

Long term, you know.

He's 6 ft 8 £230 7 ft wingspan.

I think Team C.

A little bit of O.

G and, you know, be maybe a Jalen Brown long term in terms of what the upside could look like.

But, yeah, I was surprised that he went that high over some other names.

And then Tyree's Halliburton as well, you know, going 12 shocked me.

Killian.

Hes going seven was a huge surprise, so there were certainly some real surprises throughout the first round.

Keep in mind, long term.

A little later.

One big thing.

I think that's what this draft was really all about on Wednesday night and you've gone on record.

Mike repeatedly, his sandal, a mellow balls.

The most talented player in this draft.

And you have seen him in person with your own eyes a ton since he's what 16.

Now we know where he Lance.

Interestingly, with Michael Jordan in Charlotte, little history there.

We'll leave that alone.

What do you think of the fit?

I think it's probably the best fit other than Golden State amongst teams in the top five, because this is a kid you really need to hand the keys to.

He's not someone who could just fit in on any team.

And that's a new organization where he can come in and really dominate the ball.

And they have the cap space to put pieces around him.

I really like their young core already, you know.

PJ Washington, 22 years old, he had a tremendous rookie season.

Miles Bridges is an explosive athlete.

Devante Graham probably should have won most improved player of the year, so you know they have a young coach in James Borrego.

I mean, I really like the set up there, and you know what?

I'll tell you this being away from the bright lights, I think will benefit him, being in a small market where he can focus strictly on basketball.

Because that's what struck me about watching him in Australia when he was tucked away, away from all the noise, he was at his best, and I think he'll be able to do that in a city like Charlotte.

Well, coming to this town in D.

Is the guy that you feel like is a steal of the draft.

Any idea who you had?

What I think?

Four.

In a mock, he slides all the way to nine, and they're thrilled The Wizards are tow Land him.

Why is it that you feel like he's the Steel just because he plays such a coveted position in today's MBA?

I mean, having a guy 6 ft 10 £225 you can play really anywhere from 1 to 4.

That's exactly what you want.

It's like a queen on the chess board, you know, you could shift him all over the court, and this is one of the more accomplished players in the draft.

I mean, he's coming to the MBA with over 100 games of pro experience.

He's the youngest M v p in the history of the Israeli league.

So I've seen him play kind of a role player role at the Euro league level.

But then, in feeble competition, the junior national team of Israel, he plays every single position.

He makes everyone around him better.

So as long as they surround him with the right pieces, I think he could be a top three player to come out of this draft.

I really dio Mike, I hope you had fun tonight, man.
