Theo Audio is unverifiable, but if authentic, it would mark the first time. Boko Haram has claimed an attack in Nigeria outside the northeast. The group, whose name means Western education is forbidden, has waged an insurgency in the northeast since 2000 and nine. More than 30,000 people have been killed since then, and in 2014. The group kidnapped 200 girls from a school in the northeastern town of Chibok on Friday.
