Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles would you just sum up how this preseason has gone in such unique experiences? We've all talked about the lack of time between the October 11th title and everything. But what have you seen from your teammates? How do you feel yourself ahead of the Tuesday opener for the regular season? I mean, it's just so different, obviously, you know, with the you know, the lack of games. You know, the situation. Obviously a covert protocol, things of that nature. Um, it's been a different training camp, um, to say the least. But for the time that we've had, which which hasn't been that much, I feel like we've put in the work and got better. And obviously we're not what we want to be long term, but that Z absolutely okay, because it's a long season is a long journey. But I think Thio to the credit of the guys we've we've got better. You know, As the days went on, it just big picture with how unique this season is and you have the weird four months off in the when Kobe first hit. Then you play, of course, throughout the playoffs. Now, the two months here, how Are you trying to plan things for your body, which I know was kind of on a clock, right? For For what? The last. How many years? 57. You know, just listening. Thio, listen to my body. My body would tell me where I am at that point in time on and, you know, just listen to it. You know, that's what it's about. It would be very smart. We're marathon team. We understand that we're not in a sprint, but we want to get better every day. So it's gonna be I don't think would be a fine line, but I'll listen to my body. I was Thio. You know, Mike Man sees my trainer. I listen to the coaching staff, obviously the best in the Frank. Andi, listen to my teammates as well, you know, and go from there with some of the new guys and so on. Is there one thing LeBron that you guys focus on ahead of the season opener? Things that you know you guys could do based on your experience with most of the group from last year? Uh, one thing we know we control and that Zaeef is a rebound in transition defensive transition on also sharing the ball offensively. We know we control that way. Got to do a really good job. Um, you know, sharing the ball, which we love to do Have everyone involved. Everyone feels in a good rhythm and then defensively grabbing rebounds, boxing out and also getting back in transition. So those are the things that we can control. Hey, Brian, you just told us that you guys know that you're not where you wanna be. Long term, but but that's okay. Because of the circumstances, it kind of sounds a lot like the sentiment that Frank just shared with us. But we also know that you told us before, Like, patience is not your strong suit. So what will you be looking for? Um, as things actually start, um, to count in the standings in terms of knowing where you guys were at. You just wanna get better everyday way. Wanna get better every day, there on the floor, you know, games or practices, Um, or if it's, you know, doing film session rolled her at home, preparing our minds and preparing our bodies for long haul. So, um, you know, I you know, I'll see how we continue to improve each month throughout each game. Do what? His journey step and go from there. Dan LeBron, How much of that mindset? That sort of marathon mindset is different now that you guys have done it once as a group as a core. Um, did that change any of that? Did you feel like you guys had that last year? I know there was a ton of talk about the moment last year. Sorry. Um, yeah. So did that change that, Like having that that success? No. I mean, I think you kind of it's two different things. I mean, obviously you live in the moment, but you also understand, you know, it is a marathon, not a sprint were involved a veteran ball club. We understand that I've been a partisan veteran ball clubs you live in the moment you make the most of today, which we did today in our our last preseason game. But we also know that this is gonna be a long journey and that's what the marathon is all about. So you can do both Last question. Hey, Lebron, um you know, thank you back Thio 2012 when you were coming off your first NBA championship, How did that change you and change your approach? Thio the season And do you see signs of that in a d a Z? He kind of comes off the championship is looking at one another. Um, I think it's about, you know, trying to be great. I wanted to be great in this league. I didn't want to just be, um, someone that can, you know, put up numbers. I want to be someone that could win. I've always been a winner in my whole life. I want to win at the highest. Level 80 wants to do the same. Um, you know, hey, wants to be one of the best way always. You know, we know that the championships is the Holy Grail in this league. Be crowned champion multiple champions. Um, then you know, that's what it's all about, you know? So oh, I mean, he's ready for that moment. His confidence is out the roof, and it's up to us as his teammates, um, to continue to help his conference continue to soar and protect him and help him continue. Thio. You know the tapping Thio, his prime, which you know that he's grown into. Thanks for watching ESPN on YouTube for live streaming sports and premium content. Subscribe to ESPN plus.
