Almost everyone is interested to know about his and her future and also of his near and dear ones. The reasons can be many and varied, for example the concern about health or love life or career or just simple plain curiosity. I bring for you a series of videos which have detailed information to introduce you to the basic and some higher level of concepts in understanding a horoscope through Vedic astrology which is also referred to as Hindu or Indian Astrology. If you watch carefully and listen with interest you can learn, step by step, the basics of astrology. Once you go through these lessons, you will be able to judge the person better and have a good idea and grasp about his or her basic nature. Though making predictions will require very extensive study of Astrology. This will also enable you to interact with your astrologer more intelligently. For the purpose of simplifying the online learning for you, I shall not discuss the mathematical aspects. So let us begin. The Natural Astrology Chart From the astrological point of view, for the purpose of charting the planetary positions at the time of the birth of the person, the 360 degrees of the zodiac are divided into 12 equal parts, of 30 degrees each. This is represented in the form of a chart which will have 12 sections of 30 degrees each. This chart may have three shapes -- One -- the North Indian Style -- which is on your screen now. Second -- style is South Indian Style -- as you can see on your screen and the Third is Western Style. All three use the same concept of mapping the position of the planets as viewed from earth's particular position and time where and when the person is born. Another important point is The Ascendant or Lagna. This is that point in the zodiac which rises at the time of birth of a person with reference to the place and of birth. The position of planets in the zodiac is noted with reference to the earth. The ascendant is also the first house in a horoscope and the rest of the houses are reckoned from it. Let us see the example of a person born in New York on April 17, 2014 at 7 in the morning. The chart will look like this. Here the zodiac sign is rising hence it occupies the first house. Accordingly, we have also placed the 9 planets -- which we shall discuss in the next video. Happy Astrology Leaning. Thanks for your time and interest.
