He's now nine, just, I guess, for lack of a better word dominating in a U basketball. That is big perk, son. And And we we have enjoyed watching this on. Enjoyed your pride in it as you take a look at that walk. Uh, we did not get Schefty and Louis his thoughts on this earlier this morning. Louis, give me a scouting report here because we could be looking at a three technique someday. Look, man, my man's got some size now. Perk. He's nine years old now. Yeah, he's 99 years old, huh? Yeah, I got I've got a nine year old boy who's gonna be 10 at the end of this month to play some ball, too. And he went up against a guy who looked like that in his last championship last year. I hope he's out here in the living room watching the game watching this right now. If he's not in school upstairs in the bedroom because I'm gonna ask him Won't be like, what could you have done with Kendrick because he looks like a beast. I said I should bring him in here right now so he could watch this. I don't know if he's watching this, but I need I need the light, a fire under him. This might be the perfect video for Just may be the perfect one. He's got that struck going. He's got that swagger going. He's already taller and bigger than may provide that this'll this'll is more recent. Look at big per coaching. Look at him coaching. I love it. Thank you. Big perk for sharing your family with us. We have enjoyed it this week. Game of the night. Last night was a double overtime thriller with the Nets and the Cavaliers and Kyrie Irving back after missing seven games. And, of course, he want to ring in Cleveland. Once upon a time, Nets trailed much of the night, but then six minutes left, they're coming back. That's James Harden. He finished with 21 point triple, double their back in it under three to go there down by five. Not anymore. Kevin Durant weaving. Yes, he finished with 38. It's a one possession game, just over a minute left Joe Harris down by two. No good, but Kyrie is there for the putback. We're tied at 1 13 and we go to overtime First. Possession of the OT for Brooklyn Kyrie off the screen. He would score 37 in 48 minutes in his return under a minute left in the OT. Cleveland Down three. But Larry Nance Jr his clutch tied at 1 20. Next Brooklyn possession. Harden driving, Kicking. Jeff Green is up and good next to three point lead. Five seconds to go. Brooklyn up by three. Collin Sexton, 321 All he ties it knocks it in with 1.6 remaining to go to a second overtime. But first Kevin Durant had this chance to win it at the buzzer in the first OT. Wouldn't get it played 50 minutes last night. Second o t belong to the Cavs. A little over two minutes to go. Cleveland up. Five. Sexton Yes. Finished with a game high 42 points on the Cavaliers in double overtime. Win it by a dozen Kyrie. Let's talk way. We'll have Good night's. We'll have great nights, but it's how we galvanize this group together and how we sacrifice and compromise for the greater good, Great glimpses way Start off the game. Very, very, very good. Um, it's the entire game. We just gotta find a way to get stops when we need to. It felt perfect. It felt like we belong together. Just joining together is gonna be fun. You know, it was tough. First start, especially was up and down game for us, But I like I like what we are. The fascinating night. And here's the big fella. Always fascinating with Kendrick Perkins. Big perk. So much to unpack. What's your number one take away from last night? Well, the number one take away is this greeny. Look, I know I was talking about who was gonna be the bad man who was gonna be the Robin who was gonna be af right. Kyrie came back and said, I'm bad, man. He took almost 30 shots last night. He is not sacrificing no part of his game offensively and we witnessed that last night. And that's gonna be a problem, greeny. All these guys, we're gonna have to sacrifice their game offensively. But Kyrie don't have that. I don't have that in mind doing that? No time soon, I tell you that much. Well, so So he took 28 shots last night, Kevin Durant took 25 James Harden took 14 again in a game that went to double overtime. What's the right formula? If we're all gonna be sitting here paying attention to how many shots they each take on a given night, What is the right formula, in your opinion, for them to be at their best? Well, green, If you look at all the big threes that will form and has success, each one of those guys sacrifice and I strongly believe Look, they got 10 points out of the best last night. You haven't got it. Joe Harris that you paid $72 million to because he's able to shoot the lights out. They're going to need Joe Harrison the playoffs. And right now, the way that the Nets are playing ball is just a three man team on the offensive end. They got to spread the wealth. They gotta give these guys confidence. If I'm Steve Nash, I gotta go in this locker room and address the word sacrifice I gotta address it greeny and look. I would play Kyrie as 1/6 man roll type deal, not saying I wouldn't start him. But I would bring him in with that second unit and just let him rock out because he has no plans on passing the ball. So you have to let him do what he do. When, when Katie and James Harden is not on the floor, you make an interesting point in the game was played. It took 58 minutes on the floor last night and the Nets got 10 points off their bench. Cleveland got 44 off of their bench. That's the difference. And then the other side of this is Cleveland comes into the game. Ah, big fellow with the worst offense in the N B A. And and they gave up. The Nets gave up 147 points to them. How much of a concern is defense for this group? It is very concerning right now. The Brooklyn Nets couldn't go a senior citizens at recess right now, and that's a problem in the nursing home. And because, look, when you look at what they're doing right now, they gave up 50% shooting to the Cavs from the field, 50% from the three. That's not gonna cut it. And look, I have major concerns. When they traded Jared Allen, I said, Man, they gonna really miss him. And they are. Last night, Steve Nash had to move Kevin Durant to the five, and that didn't work out well, so with that being said, they happen. Toe march, toe one, add death, go out and get some players because DeAndre Jordan is not the same DeAndre Jordan that we saw with the Clippers and Steve. Nationalist culture staff are gonna have to reconstruct and and do something different scheme wise because that drop coverage for the center is just not going to get it.
