  • - What team?

  • Wildcats!

  • What team?

  • Wildcats!

  • Get your head in the game.

  • [LAUGHTER]

  • [MUSIC PLAYING]

  • We are back.

  • Happy New Year, and welcome to "What's Up, Disney+," where

  • we talk all things Disney+.

  • Yes, we are so happy to be back again.

  • We miss you all.

  • But, of course, we got some great goodness for you today.

  • How were your holidays, Andre?

  • Did you watch anything binge-worthy?

  • Actually, I did.

  • I've been revisiting the "X-Men" animated series from the '90s.

  • And, of course, I had to check out "Soul."

  • That got released on Christmas day from Disney and Pixar--

  • such a great movie, such good music in that movie.

  • Woo!

  • It is one of the most incredible

  • movies I've ever seen.

  • And I was happy to watch that on Christmas Day.

  • I'm all about the '90s, man.

  • I've been binging "Recess," just re-living

  • my childhood for the holidays.

  • Nice.

  • But enough about us.

  • We are all in this together for the celebration of "High School

  • Musical"'s 15th anniversary.

  • And, at the center of today's episode--

  • I'm really excited about this--

  • we are talking about Marvel Studios' "WandaVision."

  • I hope you are all warmed up.

  • The games begin now.

  • One might say we are officially breaking

  • free from the status quo.

  • And today, I actually brought a friend.

  • He played Chad Danforth, East High's most spirited athlete.

  • Corbin Bleu is here.

  • How are you?

  • [LAUGHS]

  • I'm great.

  • How are you?

  • Fantastic.

  • Cra,zy to see you over Zoom but happy to see

  • your smiling faces either way.

  • You guys look great.

  • Aw, thank you.

  • We're all in this together, even if we

  • have to be online with it.

  • [LAUGHTER]

  • There goes Andre with the puns.

  • It's been 15 years since "High School

  • Musical" first premiered.

  • How does it feel looking back on it today?

  • [LAUGHS] It's-- it's a beautiful gift that

  • continues to keep on giving.

  • Musicals had a little bit of a decline

  • or at least they just weren't in the spotlight as much.

  • To be a part of a project that all of a sudden gave this

  • resurgence, and even now, with "Hamilton,"

  • being able to watch that on Disney+,

  • it's amazing how it really was sort

  • of the first domino for this resurgence of musicals.

  • And I love how new generations continue to watch it.

  • It's really crazy.

  • It's really surreal.

  • But it's-- it's beautiful.

  • Speaking of musicals, we're dying to know what you think

  • about "High School Musical:

  • The Musical: The Series."

  • "The Series."

  • [LAUGHTER]

  • I got to say, I mean, they cast a rockin' cast.

  • When we were all doing it 15 years ago,

  • it was just a bunch of kids that were loving it,

  • and all really worked hard.

  • They really are the next wave of it.

  • They embody what-- what it is.

  • Thank you for paving the way with "High School Musical"

  • to lead to the series.

  • There were plenty of others that paved the way prior to us.

  • We were just carrying the torch on with the next line.

  • So Corbin, in celebration of the 15-year anniversary

  • of "High School Musical," we thought we would ask you 15

  • rapid-fire questions about you, the cast, and the "High

  • School Musical" trilogy.

  • You ready to play?

  • I'm already sweating.

  • [LAUGHTER]

  • OK.

  • ANDRE: What was your go-to snack during filming?

  • Instant mac and cheese, the-- the little ones in the cup.

  • Nice.

  • JENNY: What's a song/scene you wish you were in?

  • Oh, "Scream." The big rotating room?

  • ANDRE: Yeah.

  • CORBIN BLEU: That was the coolest thing.

  • I would have loved to get in that contraption.

  • ANDRE: Who flubbed their lines the most?

  • Everybody was usually pretty on it.

  • JENNY: Are you actually good at basketball?

  • No.

  • And it's not a secret.

  • It's not a secret that I'm not.

  • [LAUGHTER]

  • I'm-- I'm horrible.

  • You sing a song called, "I Don't Dance,"

  • but you can dance.

  • But-- - Uh huh. Yep.

  • ANDRE: --you act like you play basketball,

  • but you can't play basketball. [LAUGHS]

  • There it is.

  • ANDRE: Which cast member was most like their character

  • on set?

  • Monique, she really, like, embodied that character

  • even going on into life.

  • JENNY: What other character would you have loved

  • to play and in what scene?

  • Lucas's character Ryan is amazing.

  • Probably "I Want It All" would have been also a really,

  • really fun one to do.

  • ANDRE: "High School Musical 1," "2," or "3,"

  • which one is your favorite?

  • Ooh, "3." We had the biggest budget on that one.

  • JENNY: Name one of Chad's best qualities?

  • He's the rallier.

  • He can get everyone jazzed or psyched about whatever it is

  • that they've got ahead of them.

  • ANDRE: Who is the best dancer?

  • Oh, I mean--

  • [LAUGHTER]

  • I'm trained.

  • I grew up doing it.

  • I would definitely have to say, I think me.

  • JENNY: Who on set could bring the house down

  • with their singing?

  • Vanessa. She was the vocal queen on set.

  • ANDRE: Favorite couple that never

  • got together in the movie?

  • Me and Mo!

  • What?

  • Yeah!

  • I took her to prom.

  • Like, you never saw a kiss.

  • You never saw them, like, actually get together.

  • ANDRE: What scene took the longest to film?

  • Maybe "We're All in This Together"?

  • I think we shot that one over three days.

  • JENNY: What's a high school superlative for Chad?

  • Most likely to come back and coach.

  • That's a cool one.

  • Yeah, I feel like it's a more realistic one.

  • ANDRE: Who is the perfectionist out of the bunch?

  • Ashley, first one awake, she's always on set,

  • knew every single one of her lines.

  • JENNY: And finally, what team?

  • That's my line.

  • [LAUGHTER]

  • I gotta ask you that.

  • OK. Ask me.

  • Ask me.

  • What team?

  • (IN UNISION) Wildcats!

  • [LAUGHTER]

  • Wow, honestly, we learned a ton just now.

  • This has been a dream come true for us.

  • Thank you so much, Corbin, for being here with us.

  • Thank you.

  • Thank you for having me.

  • It was such a pleasure, guys.

  • Stream "High School Musical" on Disney+.

  • And now, it's the start of something new with What's New.

  • [MUSIC PLAYING]

  • JENNY: Prepare for the premiere of Marvel Studios'

  • "WandaVision" by re-living Wanda Maximoff and Vision's stories

  • in "Marvel Studios' Legends."

  • The new series revisits the most iconic moments from the MCU.

  • And the first two episodes are now streaming on Disney+.

  • how the National Geographic team captures the magic

  • of Disney's Animal Kingdom.

  • The Henson Soundstage during production of the Disney+

  • original series "Earth to Ned."

  • and cliffhangers of season one.

  • Classic television meets the Marvel Cinematic Universe

  • when two super-powered beings attempt to live

  • the idealized suburban life.

  • This is Marvel Studios' "WandaVision."

  • Yes, the premiere of "WandaVision" is tomorrow,

  • so set those alarms.

  • It's finally happening.

  • It's finally happening.

  • I feel like we've been talking about this

  • for a very long time.

  • And now, we get to sit and watch.

  • And again, I'm so excited.

  • And then I love all of the classic sitcoms

  • that it's paying homage to.

  • I am thrilled.

  • This show was meant for me.

  • I'm really excited.

  • Yes, the whole sitcom aesthetic is

  • so great, even heard a laugh track a couple

  • of times in the trailers.

  • But obviously, there's something going on behind the scenes,

  • per se.

  • We don't know what.

  • So it's going to be nice to watch this series

  • and see it all unfold.

  • Now, get ready.

  • Because we caught up with the cast of Marvel

  • Studios' "WandaVision."

  • Take a look.

  • Hi, I'm Elizabeth Olsen.

  • And today, we're playing This or That Through the Decades.

  • 1950s: Drive-in movies or sock hops?

  • Drive-in movies, because I don't really

  • know what a sock hop is.

  • For sure, drive-in movies.

  • Not a question.

  • Drive-in movies.

  • I'm a movie guy.

  • I'll say sock hop.

  • Poodle skirts or cat-eye sunglasses?

  • I'm going to go with cat-eye sunglasses.

  • Because I've already worn too many poodle

  • skirts in my childhood.

  • I'm rather partial to cat-eye sunglasses.

  • Cat-eye sunglasses. I think I own a bunch myself.

  • Lava lamps or bell-bottoms?

  • Bell-bottoms, absolutely.

  • I'm picking lava lamps.

  • Because I have never understood bell-bottoms.

  • Because I don't have a bell-shaped legs.

  • Oh, lava lamps, I like cool lighting.

  • Tie-dye shirts or paisley print?

  • Right now, I'm going to say paisley print,

  • because I'm chilly.

  • I own a lot of tie-dye, actually, even to this day.

  • I'm going to go with the paisley print.

  • I like some flowers.

  • I would rather not choose either.

  • But I will-- I will go with the tie-dye

  • just for the sake of this game.

  • Skateboards or roller skates?

  • Skateboards, I'm a kid from California.

  • Roller skates, but I would hurt myself doing either.

  • I'm going roller skates.

  • Because I think they're super cool and somehow still hip.

  • Sideburns or feathered hair?

  • Feathered hair, please.

  • I'm really partial to a sideburn.

  • Do I have to choose?

  • I like both.

  • Arcade games or mixtapes?

  • Mixtapes!

  • Mixtapes.

  • Mixtapes, 100%.

  • It was the best, making a mixtape for someone you love.

  • Shoulder pads or leg warmers?

  • Leg warmers, because I am always actually cold.

  • Shoulder pads, I think they're kind of making a comeback.

  • I still wear shoulder pads.

  • Slap bracelets or mini backpacks?

  • [LAUGHS] Mini backpacks.

  • A slap bracelet has no practical value at all,

  • but then nor does a mini backpack.

  • Mini backpacks, even though I have both.

  • I love slap bracelets.

  • Bucket hats or cargo pants?

  • I love a cargo pant.

  • Bucket hat! Just so rad, it's still rad--

  • would wear one if I could get away with it.

  • Bucket hats, even though hats never fit me,

  • because I have too much hair.

  • But I'll take it.

  • I'll cut the top out.

  • Skinny jeans or trucker hats?

  • Really don't like either, but I will go with skinny jeans.

  • Oh, definitely skinny jeans.

  • I can't pull off a trucker hat.

  • Flip-flops or halter tops?

  • I pick both.

  • I pick both.

  • I'll take flip-flops.

  • Oh, my goodness, halter tops.

  • Flip-flops.

  • Flip-flops, but, um-- they usually give me a blister.

  • "WandaVision" is a story about two super-powered individuals

  • who find themselves dropped into a suburban American sitcom.

  • We've seen a lot of them in the Marvel movies.

  • And here in "WandaVision," we really

  • get the space and opportunity to flesh out their relationship.

  • When we meet them, they are newlyweds moving to a new town.

  • And they desperately try to fit in.

  • At some point, Wanda and Vision

  • realize there's something not right about this town.

  • I've been a huge fan of the MCU ever since "Iron Man."

  • And I've loved Wanda and Vision as they've appeared

  • in the "Avengers" movies.

  • And to focus on them for nine episodes is really special.

  • I think what I was most surprised by was just

  • the amount of artistry behind the camera

  • to bring this to light.

  • The way that we are able to explore very quiet,

  • intimate themes and at the same time

  • give you the big, epic Marvel super hero

  • that we've all come to love.

  • Do not miss Marvel Studios' "WandaVision."

  • And it's streaming tomorrow on Disney+.

  • Please watch it.

  • It's going to be great.

  • [MUSIC PLAYING]

  • Well, I must say, I do love a good sitcom.

  • You know, the situation, the comedy.

  • Whoa, I never put those two together.

  • [AUDIENCE LAUGH TRACK]

  • What in the world?

  • What in the world is right.

  • It's been raining cats and dogs all week.

  • The milkman skipped my house for the second time in a row.

  • And the store is fresh out of beans

  • for my green bean casserole.

  • [OMINOUS MUSIC]

  • Uh, Jenny, I don't want to alarm you, but I think you're

  • trapped in a '50s sitcom.

  • Whatever do you mean?

  • OK.

  • This just took an interesting turn.

  • [LAUGHS] We will see you next time.

  • Make sure you stream all of your favorites on Disney+.

  • Andre, I do have a quick question.

  • What is a Disney+?

  • This is going to take a while.

  • OK.

  • Jenny, there's this thing called the internet.

  • Uh-huh.

  • I don't even know how to explain it.

  • [LAUGHS]

  • What team?

  • Wildcats!

  • Wildcats.

  • Get your head in the game!

  • [WHISTLE]

  • [MUSIC PLAYING]

- What team?
