The world is more connected now and English is the language of business.

In the case of Latin America, that is a Spanish speaking population, we will have people and

candidates that do not have the English proficiency that we were looking for.

P&G being a global company with operations in over 80 countries and our brands being

distributed in more than 100 countries, we do have to be able to connect with our colleagues

across the globe.

Sometimes, at the beginning, I didn't have confidence when all my trainings and all the

communication was in English.

I wanted to cry.

Gritchin is one of our success stories.

She started in a role that English was required and, at that time, she didn't have the English

proficiency for that position.

We have this opportunity to travel to Warsaw.

I couldn't go because my limitation in the English, so I was so frustrated and also so

sad because even when I lead this project, I couldn't be part of this workshop.

If the candidate has the success drivers that we are looking for at P&G, we will invest

in their English training.

It is so hard to..to learn a new language, especially when you are not younger, right?

When we offer somebody a job, we are not offering a particular task, per say.

We are offering the long-term career.

We will invest in our employees by sending them to English schools, tutors on the side

and also web-based trainings online.

By investing in our employees, we drive company results in every location where we have operations.

It is very rewarding to see how our English program has enabled individuals to gain confidence

in the way they manage their business.

Now I feel more comfortable.

They're inferencing. They're negotiating.

They're leading the way in a way that they were not able to do it before.

So, now, I am really so proud of me because now I can speak, I can attend my customers

and also lead some meetings and some projects, everything in English.

It is like a big change.

So, for us, investing in English is a deliberate choice and a business strategy.
