Hot dog.

That--
[LAUGHTER]
[UPBEAT MUSIC]
Hey everyone.
We are back with another episode of "What's Up, Disney+,"
where we talk about all things Disney+.
I'm Jenny.
And I'm Andre.
And today we are celebrating something very special.
It is our Plusiversary!
[PARTY FAVOR]
Yeah!
Happy Plusiversary, Jenny.
And happy Plusiversary to you, too, Andre.
Yes, it's been officially one year since
Disney+ launched in the U.S.
I remember it like it was yesterday. We were counting
down the days to watch all of our Disney animated
classics, our Marvel Cinematic Universe, our Star
Wars saga, our Pixar films, our National
Geographic documentaries.
All the original movies and series
that Disney+ has to offer.
I know.
It's been a year, and I haven't even gotten
halfway through my playlist.
I know.
I'm still going through the whole "Disney Afternoon."
I haven't even made it through all the blocks yet.
So today we'll be celebrating Plusiversary, as well as
keeping things classic with "The Wonderful World
of Mickey Mouse."
[POORLY IMITATES GOOFY LAUGH]
Ew.
[LAUGHING]
[MUSIC PLAYING]
Do you remember what you first streamed on Disney+, Andre?
Well, I love my animation and my throwbacks,
so I had to start with "Chip 'n Dale's Rescue Rangers."
[LAUGHING] I just love that show.
JENNY: I'm not surprised. ANDRE: What about you?
What's the first thing you streamed?
"Recess."
All the classic shows from my childhood,
like "After School"-- and "Imagineering Story,"
that was one of the first shows that I watched actually.
ANDRE: Yeah, it's so great to see
that behind-the-scenes stuff.
And in addition to those throwbacks, of course,
we got some new stuff.
And, particularly for me, what I loved was Beyoncé's "Black
is King", just that entire sort of reimagining, retelling
of "The Lion King" story, but with Beyoncé's
great music and those awesome visuals throughout that film.
It just looks so great.
And then, to keep the music going,
"Hamilton" was just an awesome thing.
That was like an event where everyone was just like,
we're all watching "Hamilton."
[CHUCKLES]
No matter where we are, we are watching this.
Which was so great to see it, and especially to see
it in so many different angles.
There's different ways you couldn't see if you were
just watching it in a theater.
Yes, 100%.
I could never get tickets.
Every single time, it sold out.
And I thought, I'm never going to see "Hamilton."
And when Disney+ announced that, I was so happy,
and it was such a great event.
Everyone got together and watched it and had little chat
parties and stuff like that.
For me, one of the defining moments on Disney+ was watching
"Diary of a Future President," because it's about
a Cuban-American family, and they live in Miami.
And I'm Cuban from Miami, so it
was really cool to see that representation
on the Disney+ platform.
And it's also very empowering for young girls.
So I think it was a really neat show.
I can't not mention this next show, Andre.
You know what show I'm thinking about.
I'm right there with you. Of course.
Emmy award-winning "The Mandalorian".
ANDRE: It's so awesome just to be
able to see a live-action Star Wars series,
and one done so well.
Yup.
So let's keep this party going.
We have a bunch of special guests
who also want to wish Disney+ a very happy Plusiversary.
Hi, it's Pedro Pascal.
It's Yvette Nicole Brown.
Hey, it's Sabrina Carpenter.
Hi, it's Lauren Graham. Guess what?
Today--
--it's Disney--
Plus one--
--the one-year anniversary of Disney+.
Happy Plusiversary.
Happy Plusiversary.
Happy anniversary.
Happy anniversary, Disney+.
Happy Plusiversary.
Happy Plusiversary.
Happy Plusiversary.
Happy Plusiversary.
Happy anniversary, Disney+.
[BLOWS KISS]

Happy Plusiversary, Disney+.
[BLOWS KISSES]
Love y'all.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
A lot of familiar faces there.
It's crazy to think about how many people are in the Disney+
family, and how all these different movies and series
bring them all together.
But the party isn't stopping there.
Let's get into what's new.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
JENNY: "On Pointe" was announced this week,
which tells the real- life stories of students
from the School of American Ballet.
It premieres December 18.
ANDRE: There's a new trailer out for "Black Beauty,"
starring Mackenzie Foy, and Kate Winslet as the voice of Beauty.
And it looks like an unforgettable story.
It premieres November 27 on Disney+.
JENNY: Bring on the holidays.
"Godmothered" is Disney's magical holiday comedy,
starring Isla Fisher and Jillian Bell,
and starts streaming on December 4.
ANDRE: And, finally, Disney+ is teaming up with Fortnite.
This is exciting.
You can get two months of Disney+
free when you make any real-money
purchase in Fortnite.
Visit fortnite.com/disneyplus beginning November 10,
at 7:00 PM Eastern time to redeem your subscription.
JENNY: We have a premiere date for "WandaVision."
So excited for that one.

Now while Disney+ is celebrating its first year,
there's someone who's been around
with Disney since it all began.
On November 18, we are celebrating the birthday of
the one, the only Mickey Mouse.
JENNY: To celebrate this icon, Disney+ is premiering
an all-new animated short series, "The Wonderful
World of Mickey Mouse."
And now, we're going to hear from the series
composer, Chris Willis.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
In order to establish the sound for the music
for each episode, I always meet up with the filmmakers.
And while they've been working on the cartoon,
they've been listening to lots and lots of music,
and so they have lots of extraordinary ideas
about what to do.
If the episode is set in a particular place,
or is having fun with a particular genre,
then there are all sorts of special instruments
or sounds that we'll want to include,
because we'll have been watching lots of things
and thinking about that genre.
So if there's a Western episode of "Mickey Mouse,"
we'll have watched lots of Westerns,
and we'll have discovered all of these really funny things that
happen musically in Westerns.
And we'll try and find a home for all those things.
It's amazing to me how adaptable Mickey
is to different situations.
We've really found that it's inexhaustible.
We can put him in almost any scenario
you can possibly imagine.
And it's always fun seeing how he reacts
and seeing what happens to him.
JENNY: And here is a clip from the series.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
MICKEY: (SINGING) What keeps a man on
the straight and narrow road?
GOOFY: (SINGING) It's a code.
DONALD DUCK: (SINGING) The code.
MICKEY: (SINGING) The code.
ALL: The wrangler's code.
MICKEY: What will ensure that justice is bestowed?
GOOFY: It's a code.
DONALD: The code.
MICKEY: The code.
ALL: The wrangler's code.
MICKEY: [YODELING]
Before we go, in addition to celebrating the Plusiversary,
there are also some other anniversaries
that we have to celebrate.
Right, Jenny?
That is right, we've got the 80-year anniversary of "Fantasia",
"The Rescuers Down Under," "Oliver and Company," the debut
of "Steamboat Willie," also Mickey's birthday,
and "The Little Mermaid".
So be sure to like, subscribe, and share this video.
And then head over to Disney+ to stream all the great stuff.
And we'll see you next week.
Take care, Jenny.
Take care, Andre.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
Another case closed with a happy ending.
