Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles [MUSIC PLAYING] Day one. Woo! We haven't talked-- Day one, baby. I feel like we had such a good time on this particular project because it was a collaboration from the start. We were very much holding this thing together. And we had a lot of input from Ian and Eshom Nelms. It was a DIY effort. It was very much independent-spirited. They brought their film family to the table and we brought our film family to table. It just filled every slot we needed, which was fantastic. And we were totally blown away by all the support and enthusiasm we got on Indiegogo for the project. Yeah, impossible without you all, thank you so much. Some of the benefits of doing a show like "Everyone's Doing Great" where you do everything yourself is the freedom. We owed it to ourselves and to this project to give it a go with a core group of people that really got the spirit of it. It's a perfect scenario. You're maintaining your creative control with the stories that we've written out. We're so excited to tell them. And now this chuckle-head got his own thing going. Speaking of setting the tone. We have a bit of a death scene that's playing out today. It's going to be a tough day on set for Seth Stewart. Obviously, people know James and Stephen as actors. And I think some people know James as the director from episodes of "One Tree Hill" and "The Royals," but I'm so excited for people to see Stephen directing for the first time. Tell him to do the AC Slater. Flip the chair around. Flip it around. Oh, OK. I'm so excited for people to get to know James and Stephen as writers, as producers, and as creators. Their own project as leaders on set, they really established an environment that was welcoming and inclusive in so many ways. I mean, this is the first time in my 20-year career that I think I've been on set with many other Asian women. Camera rehearsal is up. Quiet all around. And action. See the Stephen hair on camera? Is that the real thing? I can see it from the lens. It's been the most fun for me in terms of a directing experience, the most fun I've ever had as a director. Cut it. Cut it. That's a cut. If it wasn't for acting, I would have never found my way into directing. And I feel that it's helped me work with actors as well because they feel taken care of. As a director, he knows what he wants. He knows me pretty well, so he probably knows what I'm thinking. And he's a very decisive person. I am a tortured indecisive actor. I don't know why I became an actor. I'm an indecisive person, so it's terrible. 25 days of shooting, this might be my favorite thing we've shot. I can't wait to-- It's amazing. It's like watching Bambi on ice. It was a collaborative effort in every sense of the word. We even edited the project together. So we've really been on the same page in terms of what we want. And what we're going for. We feel like this is something that we've been trying to do for a very long time and, finally, we're doing it. And sure enough, it's been a very, very fun process. Hulu is our dream scenario for a home. They support independent filmmakers. And they took this thing that we made from scratch and they trusted our vision. And we couldn't be happier. It's a dream come true. That is a wrap on our background and our wonderful Indiegogo background. Yes! Woo! Well done. Well done. Thank you guys so much.
