Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles the mark is what's the biggest thing the Chiefs must do to not get the Super Bowl hangover? Well, look, let's be careful about being too over analytical as analysts. The Chiefs played with a depleted offensive line. Right? So hopefully that won't be the case when they get to another Super Bowl and Patrick Mahomes career. That matter. Big time, obviously, but I go to the other side of the football. I looked at Tampa Bay and I saw Jason, Pierre Paul and Shock Baird across opposite from each other. I saw in Dumbo consume and be the bay of being back. I saw the depth of a defensive line. That's what the Kansas City Chiefs need. The Kansas City Chiefs need a guy opposite Ah, friend Clark that could generate that type pressure that was deformed before you got traded. And then they need a guy opposite of Chris Jones. So when they do double Chris Jones, when a team focuses on making sure he doesn't record game, it has to be another guy that has those one on ones. We saw Todd Bowles and this Tampa Bay defense, and Kasey Rogers, the defensive line coach for Tampa Bay put these guys in different positions to get them matched up one on one in pass rush situations. We saw the synergy between the defensive line. So if I was the looking point toe, any spot, I would say the Kansas City Chiefs need to improve their overall depth on the defensive line. And they need to add a playmaker on that side of the football when you have to defend against a lot of these offenses that you run. And I believe this to my boy are like getting on secondary players because sometimes have to make sure the coverages right. But your boy Sorenson last night, bro. Hey, got put in a body bag. I'm still trying to get that man CPR so he can wake up from last night's game, bro. Hey, listen, uh, my my little big brother is absolutely correct. They do need to change a ton of things defensively because when we've seen this defense play well, it's been because Patrick Mahomes in this offense, they bring the energy right. They start to make place. But the thing I want to talk about is a counterpunch. I wanna talk about adjustments. What's going to be the second act of the Kansas City Chiefs. Now, they've been so dominant for three years, right? They they've come back from deficits. They've won games going away. Patrick Mahomes has been unstoppable. Well, last night they got punched in the nose. I was watching us. See, on Saturday night, Alastair over him got punched in the nose in the first round and he never recovered. The dude just kept punching him on side the head, upper cutting him, hitting him with jabs, hitting him with hooks. That's what it looked like last night when I was watching Kansas City. They never found a counterpunch. They could never change their stance. So next year, what do they do? Will it be a Russia that could provide a spark? Will someone in the secondary be able to make a play? Or will it be the same old, same old and say, You know what, Patrick Mahomes? You have to do it all by yourself, and we actually saw him make a Superman like throw last night, but no one was there to catch it. Who will be the guy to catch it when they need to make an adjustment? say, Can I say some? Because Ryan just sparked something like he does every time we don't see. That's why he's the best in the business. Can I say something? You know what else disappointed me last night in the Super Bowl that I didn't see any dog mentality from the Kansas City Chiefs Like they At some point they just start allowing it to happen. Like at some point. Andy Reid and Eric B. Enemy should have looked out there and saying, All offensive line cannot block these guys and keep that in the game. Run the football, try to go to some physicality and see if you can make it work that way. Counterpunches. Because Devon White There you go. That's why I said what I said, bro. I'm believing that that cause me around. We're gonna off land for about two weeks about this game. I know you. I wanna be for that one. But I think rattled is the word that I was using, especially there in the second quarter. And Patrick Mahomes. Steve Young said this on our air last night. It's the first time Patrick Mahomes played like he was 25 years old, first time we have seen him do that. It was shocking to see in the timing. It was awful. Play bad. Oh, hey, obviously, no way. Buccaneers right credit to the way. Thanks for watching ESPN on YouTube for live streaming sports and premium content. Subscribe to ESPN, plus.
