What's up everyone? Today's lesson is all about shopping, and it's going to be really useful for
when you visit the shopping mall or generally when you're shopping, or buying something.
So in this lesson you'll learn lots of expressions with the word shopping, you'll
learn useful questions for when you go shopping, as well as words to describe low and high prices.
But before we get into it and in case you're new here we help you to learn
fast English. Without getting lost, without missing the jokes and without subtitles,
just like this fan, who says that our channel is the best way to live and learn your English.
So be sure to hit that Subscribe button and the Bell down below,
so that you don't miss any of our new lessons! So let's start off by watching this clip.
Let's now take a look at some expressions with the word shop
or shopping. Let's first look at two common phrases that we use
"go shopping" and "to do the shopping," because they don't actually mean the same thing.
By the way, if you struggle to understand natives when we speak fast and connect our words together,
then I highly recommend our Fluent with Friends Course! You can try it right
now for FREE with our 3 Mini Lessons. So you can click up here or down in the description
box below to learn more and sign up now! Let's now talk about some useful questions
for when you're shopping. So for example imagine that you are in the clothes department
in a shopping mall and you see an item of clothing that you like. You could now ask "is there
somewhere I could try this on please?" "Where's the dressing room (or fitting room in the UK)?
When you try on an item of clothing you are wearing it for a short period of time
to see if it fits you and also if it suits you. There's actually a useful question with this word
"does it suit me?" This means "does it look good on me?" or "how do I look?"
If you're enjoying this lesson then why not check out this lesson we made with Vocabulary
Around the House? You can click up here or down in the description box below to watch that next.
Now that you've learnt all of these words, why not leave a comment down below with some
example sentences? I'd love to see what you come up with, and give you some feedback.
So I hope this lesson has helped you to better understand shopping related vocabulary
and that the next time you go you can use all of these expressions and words,
and questions, but now it's time to go beyond the classroom and live your English. Aww yeah!!
