Thousands of people returned to the streets on Sunday to protest, a day after the bloodiest crackdown seen yet since the military coup almost three weeks ago.

Many peacefully gathered in the second biggest city, Mandalay, the city where soldiers opened fire on civilians Saturday and killed two people.
