Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles would you like to be in the M V P conversation this year? E could never slow down. Game speaks for itself. I'm the one that runs this time. All you better about that. He's never played better. We're talking about a two time M V P. Three time champion. I've never seen him like this. Confidence is always there. I feel like if I shoot that shot, I'm gonna make it every single time. Curry way downtown. Who would have the audacity toe pull from there? I opposition terrified. You could find me working on a rest. You could put it to the test. The guy has changed the game. Take a ticket, Booth. Best warrior of all time. That's probably not going out on a limb. All right, as I said at the top of Shell were welcome. We're getting you ready for the Warriors first. This is the Pacers, and for that we're going to welcome in N B a reporter Nick Friedel, to talk about this matchup. What's up, Nick? I want to start on the Warriors side specifically, Chef Curry with the shot boy. We don't seem to be giving him that much in VP juice, even though you know he's a baller and he has 13 straight 25 point game. That's the longest streak by a Warriors players player since Rick Ricky Berry in 1974. I wasn't around then. Don't know if anybody else was s way. Feel like we're not giving stuff enough. Enough love. He should be. He should be getting a lot more, but we all know what the reality with the M V. P is. You have tow win as a team, usually, but even more. You have to have the narrative behind you. And Steph doesn't have that narrative having already won it twice. Having been the guy that's been at the forefront of the public eye for so many years, he understands what's going on. But in fairness to him and the numbers he's putting up every night, there is no question you take Steph Curry off the Warriors. Y'all, we saw this last year. This team isn't close to what it is right now. As far as most valuable player to his team, That is Steph Curry. And if he keeps putting up these kind of numbers, I expect him to be right there. at the end of the season. It feels like number two in that power rankings would be Draymond Green 9.5 assists per outing in the last 10 games, Nick. But we understand that he has a bit of a temper. He can take out just by anybody. Rodney McGruder included. What is the importance of making sure that he stays in every contest as long as he can in order to help the likes of Steph Curry? It's crucial, because anything the Warriors wanna do, you have to have stuff. Hitting shots and stuff is at his best, as we know with Draymond next to him. And everybody wants to focus on what Draymond doesn't do anymore. He doesn't look to shoot. He doesn't have confidence in that outside shot the way he did a few years ago. But here's what he does Dio. He's still one of the very best defenders in the game, and he's the guy who sets the tone for everybody else. Offensively, you're not used to seeing point centers play the way that Draymond does, and in so many ways, that is exactly what his role is for this group. So Draymond being on the floor being able to control those emotions. That is of the utmost importance to a Warriors group that is not going toe win if he's not there, playing well. And if Steph isn't there knocking down shots all over the place. Thanks for watching ESPN on YouTube for live streaming sports and premium content. Subscribe to ESPN plus.
