Comes to the crunch? What does this mean? 'Crunch' normally means when you bite something, right? And it makes a *k* sound. But 'comes to the crunch' is an idiom which means when it comes to a very important or difficult time and you have to make a decision. So the example before: 'Many people want to change their jobs but when it comes to the crunch, they don't do it.' So when it comes to the important time to make a decision, do they change jobs? No they don't. Another example could be 'He wanted to break up with her, but when it came to the crunch, he didn't do it.' So when it came to the important time to make a decision, did he break up with her? No he didn't. Try this idiom with your friends and if they don't know what it means, you can teach them. You can be the teacher.
