They are two of the 317 girls taken from their school in northwest Nigeria in the state of Zamfara, Kagera left the hinterlands for the city in pursuit of a better education for his Children.

But he says if his daughters are returned, he will have to consider whether it's safe to send them back to school or not.

I am not speaking for every other family, but if there is enough security, I believe people will return their Children to school.

But if there is no security, nobody will think of taking their Children to school again.

Sam Farha Police have worked alongside the army in a search and rescue operation since Friday, and the city's governor ordered all boarding schools to close immediately after the kidnapping.

School kidnappings were first carried out by jihadist groups Boko Haram, an Islamic state's West Africa province.

But the tactic has now been adopted by other militants whose agenda is unclear.

They have become common around the increasingly lawless north, much to the horror and anguish of families.

Friday's kidnapping was the third such incident since December.

On Saturday, gunmen in Nigeria released 27 teenage boys who were kidnapped from their school on February 17th in the north central states of Nigeria.
