  • Yeah.

  • Uh huh.

  • Hip hop.

  • We'll start with jumping down from the express news.

  • Jeff, go ahead.

  • Hey, Pop.

  • They just told us that LaMarcus is not, uh is out tonight.

  • Um, I'm just wondering if you give us an update on what is going on with him.

  • Uh, the market is not with the team, or he's healthy in that respect, but we have mutually agreed to work out some opportunities for him.

  • Uh, and that will be elsewhere.

  • So he won't be with the team moving forward.

  • Uh, he's been a great teammate, but there's no problem there.

  • We just think this is a win win for both the Marcus and for the club.

  • So, uh, when an opportunity arises, uh, you know that that will be up to management.

  • His agent, You know, that sort of thing.

  • We'll all move forward.

  • Well, if he's moving on from here, could you just maybe reflect on what he's meant to the program the last four or five years or however long it's been?

  • Well, as I said, he's been a great teammate.

  • He's done everything we've asked, And, uh, at this point, um, just like to do something that will work for him as much as for our clone because he deserves that.

  • Okay.

  • Thank you.

  • Welcome.

  • Thank you, Jeff.

  • Let's go to Tom Morris.

  • Born from the express news, Tom, uh, top.

  • It's wondering about the with the jam packed schedule.

  • You guys haven't coming up.

  • Is there anything you can do to give the guys more rest physically and mentally?

  • Just eliminate some of their wear and tear?

  • Yeah, 24 hours in the day.

  • And the games are the games, and you play them.

  • We'll do everything we can to maintain energy and that sort of thing.

  • There's nothing magic about it.

  • And yeah.

  • And did you address the guys and tell them about L.

  • A.

  • What's going on with him?

  • And what was their reaction?

  • Of course I told them.

  • Yeah.

  • Next time, let's go to David already.

  • Let's go to David Aldridge from the athletic.

  • David.

  • Hey, Pop.

  • Uh, my my question is so pedestrian now, Um, it's been a year since the mhm initial shutdown of the league, and I was wondering, um, if there's any one or two things that have best helped, you kind of adjust to what this new normal has kind of grown into the last 12 months.

  • Well, I'm not sure I've adjusted.

  • Survived along with everybody else.

  • You know, Uh, you know, I don't think it It gave us all time to reflect on a myriad of topics.

  • And probably one of the most obvious points would be that we realize how fortunate we are and how much misery there really is in the country.

  • Uh, you've got a lot of time to look at the news and to read articles and read newspapers and read books.

  • And it's constantly there.

  • The virus has been with us amongst many other things over the last four years, and you realize the degree of just outright whether it's injustice, whether it's poverty, uh, which obviously is connected to injustice.

  • But I mean, uh, you know, care for our Children.

  • The situation of our migrant workers are frontline workers.

  • Our police forces are fire departments, the disadvantaged people who are oppressed.

  • I mean, it was constant for this last year, right in your face.

  • I got to say, uh, it sounds odd, but it was a good thing, you know, horrific situation, because so much of that has just passed over and forgotten about because everybody's busy and it hit everybody in the face and the covid showed how it disappeared disproportionately affects so many others.

  • And it took something like that to make everybody step up and say Whoa and see what was going on.

  • And like I said in many, many aspects of our lives, uh, that made that possible.
