It is a beautiful day here in the heart of Tokyo, and we're on a robot.
It's not too often that you get to hang out on a rowboat in the middle of Tokyo.
Let's enjoy it for a minute.
Uh huh, yeah, So starting today for the next couple of days, it is going to be peak cherry blossom season here in Tokyo, and I promised to bring you guys along.
So it's actually a little crowded out here, which is something I didn't expect.
It's a weekday morning and I came out here at 9 30 but it was too crowded.
So they give me a ticket and told me to come on back.
But still Carl Pope.
I do.
I'm testing out our new camera today.
How does the audio sound?
It's a tiny, tiny like when I say tiny, I literally mean it's this big.
It's a little camera.
I can't remember the last time I've actually used a rowboat, and it's much harder to actually row than I remember.
I'm stuck on the wall, and then so many places around the city are either at or near full bloom.
The goal for today is very simple.
We're just going to explore the city and enjoy the second, uh, such a beautiful day for him, like, Oh.
Mm.
Alright.
For as beautiful as the area around the Imperial Palace is, it is far too crowded to enjoy right now.
So let's head into the city.
All right, So this area here is Hibiya Park, and it actually has a few half decent cherry blossom spots to let's take a walk.
So with all the birds in the background, this should serve as a pretty decent mic test, so he'll be a park.
Tends to be a lot less crowded as a whole if you compare it to a place like or Ueno park.
Mm.
Let's see what else we can find.
I came across the shrine over here.
Look how incredibly steep those stairs are.
That is something else.
Oh, my Lord.
And it says no training, Which is kind of funny, because these stairs are apparently famous for some samurai who actually went up and down these on a horse.
And I guess they don't want anybody else trying to do it on a horse, let alone Wow.
Okay, there's another staircase off to the side, which I'm assuming is a slightly easier path up.
But we were doing this.
Okay.
Wow.
Wow.
When you get on the stairs, it's actually kind of intimidating.
They actually feel like you're just climbing a wall.
Like I'm not particularly afraid of heights, but this feels really high.
Okay, here we go.
Nice here, though.
I honestly could not have predicted being this crowd about this.
A lot of people climbing the stairs.
I kind of feel ridiculous, right?
That's a big deal out of it.
And it looks like that other staircase leads to here, so you don't have to come up the crazy stairs if you don't want to.
It's recommended, though.
Oh, even that is a lot of stairs.
Wow.
And you can even grab food up here.
This this is incredible.
There's a very good chance that this may be my new favorite trying in Tokyo.
There's just so much here.
There's actually a really nice cherry blossom place I don't want to take you guys to, But first we have to make our way down these stairs.
See what I mean?
It feels like a wall.
Admittedly, it is a bit easier going down.
Don't know why Going downstairs is usually harder, but yeah, we made it happen.
We broke the rules.
We ran.
Sorry.
Sorry.
So sorry.
Mm.
I shot way too much footage in the boat place.
So I got to actually swing by home ones and dumped the footage before we could head out again.
So from Tokyo Tower outta here has been nothing but hills.
But on the plus side, when I swam home, I had a new pair of pants waiting for me.
So I have new pants.
Hey, how many times have I dropped this thing today?
Still not a scratch.
That's good.
There it is.
People love together here about offense to take pictures based on how things were over the Imperial Palace area.
I thought for sure, we will be at, like, full bloom here, but it looks like we might actually still have a couple more days, so Oh, yeah.
So I just stopped for a few minutes to have a chat with the gentleman walking up there, and he was telling me that because of the wind that comes along the river, this area tends to be a little colder.
So these ones open up more slowly.
He also mentioned that since the Imperial Palace is wide open and gets a lot more sunshine where there's buildings on each side of this which create more shadows and temperature Anyway, let's keep going.
It's a lovely sound.
Absolutely love that view.
Look at that.
Just don't get tired of that, do you?
And I love that even after over 10 years in Japan, I get excited for this every single year.
Also, would you believe the majority of this video has been shot either on this tiny little camera right here or my iPhone?
Actually, let me show you this camera.
This thing is amazing.
This might be my new look at this.
Look how small it is.
This is the NSA 3 60.
Go to And it comes to this little case right here.
There's just the absolute best thing in the world.
It just magnetize is to everything.
Like a vast majority of this video has just been shot with me having the camera right there, and I just push it and it records or even better yet, almost dropped it.
The case here opens up like this and you can use it as a little standard.
You can hook it onto something, and and it's got this clip mount that I've been using for my hat where I just pop it in like that and off we go.
And the camera itself is waterproof, Which is a good thing, because when I was doing the row boating, there was water splashing all over the place.
It got pretty wet and it was okay, Case actually charges it and serves as a remote.
My only pet peeve with it is that it's only got mine, has about 27 gigabytes of space and that that that filled up real quick.
I need to be more picky about my shots.
I just shoot everything and you can screw it onto a pole like that.
That's how I was getting all those shots for the sucker and everything.
I love it like even like this.
I can just hold it right in the case and walk and talk.
I love it, and then when I'm done, I can just pop it right on my just like that and we're good to go.
Yeah, look at this area, though.
That guy back there was the one who told me about the Sakura in this area.
I'm starting to get really thirsty.
So let's see if we can't find ourselves a vending machine.
It's been a really nice day.
I'm actually just glad that I have a couple more days to enjoy the cherry blossoms.
And if by any chance you're like, Oh, I wish this was longer, so do I.
We're definitely going to come out and do some cherry blossom live streams.
Let's do it.
I tried to come out to Ueno Park tonight just to shoot the Sakura because I did not want to miss.
This is France.
A 3 60 emailed me today and told me that they're gonna be doing a special campaign or discount on the one R and the one x two and and I'm gonna be announcing the winner of the one X two from the give away from the video.
I don't know which side.
All the promotion and discount information will be linked below.
And honestly, I still can't believe Where did I put it that I managed to shoot an entire video on this little camera right here.
What did you think?
Would you use this.
How would you use it?
I feel like I could have used it much more creatively.
Like, for example, that scene with the vending machine.
When I got home and I looked at that, I was like, Why did I not put that inside the vending machine and push the button and then have the drink fall ready?
I could have I might have got it stuck in the vending machine.
I could have done that.
Who knows?
Maybe I'll even take one of the most creative suggestions and work it into a video over.
Let's have some fun with it.
Let me know what you would do.
In fact, if we get enough interest, I might even be able to convince into 3 62.
Let me give one of these away as well into 3 60.
If you're watching, we would love that.
We would love it.
