Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles Believe it or not, we're about to see a real live dragon. Come on, let's look closer with me, Mira. Komodo dragons are only found in the wild in a few places in the world. The islands of Indonesia, including an island that's called Komodo. Komodo dragons, aren't really like the dragons you may see in stories, but they are the world's biggest lizards. They can grow really long. When they're hungry, they can smell their lunch from far away. They must have big noses, right? Let's look closer. Actually, they pick up smells with their tongue. Amazing, right? Komodo dragons and other lizards can't keep their bodies warm or cool like you and me, we're mammals. They have to lie in the sun to get warm and find shade to get cool or even take a dip. They're great swimmers, too. Unlike some stories, these dragons do not guard royalty and towers or breathe fire. But they are excellent hunters and have strong jaws and super sharp teeth. They also have claws they can use to dig nice, cool holes to hide in on hot days. Komodo dragons usually waddle along pretty slowly, but they can run really fast in short spurts when they want to. Can you waddle? Try it out. Very nice. Let's look closer. When it's hot out, Komodo dragons open their throats wide and breathe in and out, kind of like dogs panting. Or, if it's cold, they can crawl onto heated rocks. Now that's a cozy Komoto, and now you know about a real dragon. So I'll see you next time when we look closer at more Disney animals.
