I made it slay me (LOL) (humming a song) I apologize I've had "single ladies" stuck in my head all day today so umm.. forgive me if i just burst out a song to you guys just sing along with me then we'll have a little sing along party Okay so for today's video actually this is a very special day in the modafam BECAUSE (splash) because this is the return of one of my favorite series on my channel which is #back2schoolwithBeth now i know that going back to school can be a very dreadful, stressful time but I really hope that I can make going back to school at least a tiny bit fun and exciting for you guys so that is why today I'm gonna show you DIY back to school organization which is just a bunch of ways to organize your school work and also organize your room a little bit so it makes things easier when you get home from school just a lot of really fun ideas that have helped me stay so organized recently but I'm honestly in love with them all and I really hope you guys try them out so if you do, send me your pictures with the hashtag back2schoolwithBeth I have very very exciting news for you guys that you'll actually see during this video so I have just released my first ever room decor line what even.. like as you guys know I'm obsessed with decorating my room and just a lot of interior design stuff, I really love it so much and I was given an amazing opportunity by Aeropostale to design me own bedroom line so that's actually the bedding it's on my bed rut now and the pillows Everything is actually available right now on aeropostale.com so I have a link below but I'm just really excited about it and it wouldn't be possible without you guys so I hope you guys enjoy the stuff that I designed because I'm in love with it and I kind of never want to take this bedspread off my bed cuz I really like it Anyway I really hope you guys enjoy this back to school video so without further ado, Bethany is going to stop talking and.. let's get started! (still here) so HOT!!! okay, so first stop I'm gonna show you guys these adorable label notebook for each class that you're in so I started off with taking a piece of cardstock paper and then I just traced it out making sure it's the same exact size as the cover of my notebook now if your notebook has holes like mine does then you're gonna want to punch some holes into the cardstock paper and after that, just apply thin layer of mod podge to your notebook and place the paper on top okay then I found this very thin cork board that is used for scrapbooking but I thought it went really well with the back to school theme and then I got this dry erase sticker type of stuff so basically it's like having a dry erase board on your notebook and after that I just grabbed another piece of cardstock paper and put that above the cork board for the label so obviously you're just gonna put the subject of your class here Yeah! We did it!! anyway, I just wanted to say that I really love these notebooks and I personally have never seen anything like these ones in stores before so I definitely think they are very unique and also labeling them just keeps ten of all of your work organized so it's not all mixed up in one notebook and of chalkboards are more you think Dont worry! because I got your back I start off with taking some tape to tape off the edges of my notebook and then I just purchase some chalkboard paint from the craft store and it actually took about from four to five coats so you have to be a little patient with the drying process but once it dries you have this amazing chalkboard literally on your notebook and then you can decorate it however you would like to I just went with washi tape because I'm obsessed and then there you go all you need is some chalk and you can doodle when you're in your class I am a huge doodler and I just love to draw little pictures that make no sense so, hopefully I'm not alone on that My pencils are so BORING! (crying) pattern pencils anyone? so I'm not even gonna lie, I saw a bunch of these on Pinterest and I really want to try them out so all you really do is get some washi tape, ma fav thing ever and you wrap it around your pencil and you can also use wrapping paper or duct tape or something like that and it makes such a big difference and it literally takes just a few minutes now I'm always that girl that has to ask someone else for a pen or pencil cuz I just can't keep track on mine so if you are like me then this pencil pouch is gonna help us out so just grab your scissors and cut out eighteen by two inches of felt any color of your choice and we are going to fold one side of that and we, yes, are going to be sewing Oh my gosh! look at me I'm sewing, I'm so proud of me you guys should be proud of me cuz I never so so you just sew both of the edges and then we're going to pick out a cute little button and sew that on as well and then all you need to do is cut a button hole on the flap so obviously you can you know button your pencil pouch and we are finished! I can't even tell you guys how many of these are made because it's kind of addicting I'm just warning you or maybe it's just me I don't know I like sewing buttons okay so that is it for the DIY school supplies portion of the video and now, we have the "roomspiration" portion-- alright so one really easy way to keep things organized during back to school season is these really BIG paper clips and I got these for about $2.99 at a local craft store and all I did was paint them with bright neon acrylic paint they look really awesome especially when you set them on your desk and you could put reminders or notes or anything like that you prefer and how cute is this DIY bulletin board this a great way to organize plans that you might have for the weekend it also just look really cute on your wall so I purchased my cork board tile at Joanne's craft store it's around eight dollars and then what I did is I covered one-half of the cork board with a really cool material that I already owned and then the other half I covered with mod podge and then I took the dry erase paper that I had some earlier and I put that on the other side so it's like half white board, half cork board and then I just decorated with some glitter tape this is so easy, it's insane and it looks really really cute and it's also very helpful for staying organized now this project is called "the happy jar" so it's not really about organizing your school work it's more about organizing your thoughts because at the end of a long day at school you might be having a bad day and what I do is I just write something that make me smile that day and put it in the jar and then later on you can look back on all the little things that made you happy :) and last but not least coming home to a clean bedroom always puts me in a good mood after a long day however I don't always keep my room clean but I like to keep it very colorful and here is a little sneak peek to my bedroom collection I will have the link to it below if you guys want to check it out CHECK IT OUT! just kidding heehee and that is about it for this back to school with Beth video I hope you guys enjoyed it and give it a thumbs-up it you want to see more love you guys-- really?! (LOL) Jacob! (this is really intense) the poor guy, like you just took off his head and you split it into pieces (and-- action) it is already nine o'clock at night right now and I swear it was five o'clock just like two minutes ago
