Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles Hi guys. Today, I'll be sharing with you my top methods for de-stressing, and today's video is a collaboration with Studying Amino. Most of you remember that I've collaborated with them before, but if you're new, studying amino is a community app about studying. You can share blog posts, study music, group chats, questions, quizzes, and polls. For today's video, we're collaborating on a challenge and giveaway. To participate, post on Studying Amino about the top three ways you de-stress. Tag the post with hashtag "study quill giveaway," and you'll be entered in the giveaway. The prize for this giveaway is a bullet journal kit, which includes a Leuchtterm 1917 Hardcover Notebook and a pack of 10 Stadler Tri plus fineliners. It's open internationally and will end on September 15th, but you can still pose for this challenge at any time. [Take breaks.] To prevent stress, take breaks regularly. I recommend using the Pomodoro method where you work for 25 minutes and then rest for five minutes. Sleeping well can also prevent stress since it keeps your brain healthy. You might feel stressed because you're tired and your brain isn't working as well as usual. So, do your best to sleep for eight hours each night, or take a 20-minute power nap if you're feeling overwhelmed. My third tip is to eat well by eating healthy foods and staying hydrated. Caffeine increases stress, so do your best to avoid it. I'll link an article in the description about alternatives to coffee. Keeping your body healthy is important to keep your mind healthy, so take good care of yourself. Another way to keep healthy is to exercise. Exercise also releases endorphins that make you feel happier. I personally like to run, but you can do whatever exercise you like. Yoga, weight training, taking walks or anything else you enjoy. I feel that a cluttered space leads to a cluttered mind. So, cleaning up your room or study space can get rid of some of that mental clutter. When my mind is going crazy, relaxing music really helps slow that down. I'll link some of my favorite Spotify playlists in the description. Essential Oils are also helpful for relaxation, especially lavender. I put a few drops of this oil in my humidifier to spread the scent throughout my room. Having fun is a great way to de-stress. I do this by watching YouTube videos, painting with watercolors, or practicing calligraphy. Watercolor art and calligraphy are especially relaxing. Last but not least: journaling. Journaling helps me relieve stress because when I dump all of my thoughts and worries onto paper, it feels like I've dumped them out of my mind. I hope this video helps you out. Share your favorite tips in the comments or on Studying Amino and remember to tag the post with hashtag studyquillgiveaway. I post new videos every Monday and Friday. I'll see you next time.
