  • - Ready, all right.

  • (light music)

  • Today, we are going to hop in a helicopter

  • and head up onto a glacier.

  • We're gonna experience how indigenous peoples

  • and early explorers got around Alaska.

  • That's right, we're going dog sledding.

  • (light music)

  • There is nothing like seeing the world from a helicopter.

  • (light guitar strumming)

  • All right, we just arrived at Herbert Glacier,

  • those views were breathtaking.

  • Now, let's go find some dogs.

  • - The dogs that we have here in camp

  • are called Alaskan Huskies.

  • Alaskan Huskies are performance bred dogs.

  • These dog have been bred for their athleticism,

  • their endurance, their intelligence,

  • their appetite, their drive.

  • (dogs barking)

  • - I was born ready for this.

  • Ooh.

  • Woo, we're about to get going, I'm holding on so tight.

  • I have no idea what to expect,

  • but she tells me it goes fast.

  • (woman screaming)

  • Woo-hoo!

  • These guys are really earning their lunch.

  • They're working hard.

  • - From the helicopter ride up, to the dog sled ride,

  • the beautiful weather we had up here on this snow

  • and this glacier, just a really spectacular event and tour.

  • - Once in a lifetime trip.

  • - Fabulous.

  • - Yeah.

  • - Kayla, I was promised puppies and where are the puppies?

  • - They are right over here.

  • - Hi, angel. - [Woman] Hi, little guy.

  • - These puppies are born on this glacier.

  • And pretty soon you're gonna grow up

  • and you're gonna be a sled dog, 'kay?

  • Oh yeah, you excited?

  • It's from first flying over that beautiful scenery,

  • to then dog sledding, being pulled by a team of huskies

  • over a glacier surrounded by these breathtaking mountains.

  • This has been the perfect Alaskan experience.

  • (light music)
