  • We're here at the Disneyland Resort

  • for our first ever Foodie Guide.

  • - We're gonna be taking you all around the resort

  • to try some of our special food and beverage offerings

  • here just in time for the fall and Halloween season.

  • - And we're gonna get to meet some of the amazing chefs

  • that create magic behind the scenes.

  • - I'm super hungry, so let's get started.

  • - Let's go!

  • (spooky music)

  • - My name is Chef Ali

  • and I work here in the Disneyland Resort.

  • Today we're at the Hungry Bear Restaurant in Disneyland park

  • in the Critter Country area.

  • The chefs in our resort have an excellent teamwork

  • where we partner

  • and kind of come up with different offerings.

  • Pumpkin spice seems to be the hit in the fall,

  • so we often kind of of lean towards that pumpkin spice.

  • We also bring things for the hibernation season

  • here at Hungry Bear.

  • We have our loaded fries and also our loaded onion rings

  • that'll get you ready and nice and filled up.

  • Where does the inspiration come

  • for creating the seasonal food here?

  • I would have to say I actually lean

  • heavily towards my children.

  • My daughters are huge foodies and they love fall spices.

  • They actually told me,

  • dad, please make sure something pumpkin spice

  • goes on the menu.

  • (slow music)

  • - Hi there I'm Chef Jonathan

  • and I'm here at the Hollywood Lounge

  • and Studio Catering Truck

  • in Disney, California Adventure park.

  • I think the food is,

  • I mean, biased opinion here,

  • but I think the food is

  • one of the most important things about Halloween.

  • One of my favorite things to do during Halloween right now

  • is to kind of touch the tables and talk to the guests about

  • the ghost pepper potato bites.

  • 'Cause it's spicy, it's ghost pepper.

  • For the ghost pepper potato bites

  • starts with the potato bites,

  • we add a ghost pepper cheese sauce,

  • some crispy smokey bacon and pickled jalapeno.

  • Some of the fun Halloween drinks we're featuring

  • are the Fanta spooky spirit,

  • worms, dice, and everything nice

  • and my bugs, my bugs.

  • We always want to do something better than we did last year.

  • That's where a lot of our inspiration comes from.

  • (upbeat music)

  • - Hi, my name is Francesca

  • and I'm a candy maker here at the Design Resort

  • and we're here in Downtown Disney

  • in Marceline's Confectionary.

  • Right now, we're making the mini witch caramel apple.

  • Seeing food turn into art is something beautiful

  • and I love that I can create and share that

  • and have someone enjoy it and love it as much as I do.

  • My inspiration comes from being an artist

  • and sketching and getting the Halloween music

  • and listening and putting my ideas into paper

  • and then turning it into real life.

  • I love when guests come up to the window

  • and they bought what I'm making and they show me

  • and I show them what I'm doing

  • and it gives me a sense of,

  • I love my job and I love what I'm doing.
