which is an odd mixture of colorful rooms painted  in vivid colors of yellow orange green and blue

with the idea of reversal of destiny or  the reversal of one's life

Shusaku Arakawa has chosen undying as his lifetime theme

between his three experience-based artworks in japan

this is the only one that  allows people to live in it

japanese architect MON JUKOU is called the Gaudi of japan

thanks to his unique eye-catching creations

La Porta Izumi is named  for its symbolic status as a gateway from the busy traffic of the Koshu Kaido Street

to the quiet residential streets beyond the bustling highway

the structure's facade features  a huge sculpture of a woman  

her body bent and her hair falling in golden  cascades

together with the leaping pegasus ready to take flight,

the statue of the goddess  brings new life to the izumi residential district

through what Bon describes as the power of  legend to reach deep into the well of memory

another building by a japanese gaudi  is MIND WAA.

you can recognize it easily thanks to its orange semi-spheres embedded on the outer fabric of the building

this was supposedly inspired by a convenience store  located on the ground floor

designer of this building described the process of creation as  something that just appeared out of nowhere  

thanks to the deep mutual understanding and  inspiration of the artist working on this building

here we have Waseda el dorado.

this building is  also known as the rhythms of vision

and is once again a creation of japanese Gaudi, BON

and his team of craftsmen

with this building Bon gave an opportunity to young artists to  turn their inspirations to reality

if you look closely you will notice that the exterior  is decorated with quite unconventional designs

this pink labyrinth type  apartment was built in 80s  

and is currently considered as one of  the most popular designer apartments

apart from being a feast for the eye

its pink  colors make it a popular spot among Instagramers

one of the other buildings worth mentioning  is definitely HOUMEIKAN

originally a private residence,

HOUMEIKAN has a history of hundred  years and it now serves as a traditional ryokan

unfortunately just like many  other ryokans

HOUMEIKAN had to stop their business due to the ongoing pandemic

on a bit more spookier side is a building  ROOB 5 in Ebisu

this mansion building might look a bit strange from the outside but  actually it is quite a pricey place to live
