  • Hello everybody welcome.

  • I'm now driving in Osaka.

  • This is Osaka fu and you just may have seen the premier explaining the route that I'm on.

  • I'm today driving to Shikoku Island from Kyoto.

  • It's pretty cool.

  • I gotta now turn left here and I'm gonna be making my way to Okayama.

  • And at Okayama they have a bridge called the Great Seto Bridge, which is pretty cool.

  • Wait, I couldn't turn left what?

  • It's under construction.

  • What do I do now?

  • What?

  • All right, you just kind of make do, that's it, Turn left.

  • What do I do now?

  • I've never driven.

  • This is the machine expressway straight.

  • Okay.

  • Due to construction where traffic is restricted.

  • All right, so sometimes it's not so easy.

  • Alright, that was kansai Airport.

  • What?

  • Check it out.

  • So this is the highway the road for more than five km.

  • Okay.

  • It says there's there's some gonna gonna be some construction ahead.

  • So I would take a left to kansai airport, interesting.

  • All right.

  • Let me get in these other lanes since the traffic is emerging.

  • Help out these people.

  • So I got about two hours to go to get to my destination of Okayama before I crossed the Great Seto Bridge.

  • It's pretty crazy.

  • It's kind of uh oh there's a sweet that there's a parking area now in 20 minutes.

  • I'm gonna be I'm gonna be out of service area and the service areas are pretty cool.

  • Yeah the service areas are pretty cool because I think I've already introduced us to you in live streams.

  • There's restaurants, you know, vending machines, The restrooms are usable at japanese service areas.

  • It's pretty crazy and there's always really good food at those restaurants to bakeries.

  • It's always a couple of cafes.

  • Um it's like a shopping experience on the highway, but each service area has like local culture injected into it to the next one.

  • Is that Uh Nishinomiya Ni Jo I believe I used to live near there when I lived in Kagawa in, in the Kansai region 20 years ago.

  • Um but the drive is pretty good.

  • There's not a lot of traffic.

  • They're supposed to be some construction coming up, but I haven't seen it yet.

  • Um I just hope I'm going in the right direction.

  • The navigation system is pretty interesting.

  • It allows me to um change it to english.

  • So I get this, this one lady who, she's in all the cars, I guess she's navigating me um in the right direction.

  • All right, I'm gonna skip, sweetheart.

  • Here you go, take a look, I'm gonna skip sweet to and just go on to the next one and then I'll answer some of your questions there.

  • But this trip is so exciting.

  • The state of emergency is over and I get a chance to do this kyoto to coach E I always wanted to drive to shikoku to cross the bridge and we're gonna be doing this together.

  • You know, if, if there's a signal, I'm going to check it out.

  • I will do, I will live stream going over the Seto bridge.

  • I think that would be super awesome.

  • Um, so then you'll be able to go over this bridge together between Han Xu Island and Shikoku Island.

  • Uh, and I think it's about 30 minutes to cross it because it crosses over a few islands.

  • This is also a really amazing bicycle course that you can ride.

  • Um, let me see, I want to swing back in the left lane because it's not good to ride in the right lane.

  • Mhm.

  • Somebody said, you can get a ticket once.

  • That's the last thing I want.

  • Mm hmm, mhm, mhm.

  • Smooth driving.

  • Yeah, the great set of bridge man, I've crossed over the akashic ike Ohashi, which is, I believe it's still the longest suspension bridge in the world unless china has built something bigger.

  • Uh, that was built in 1998 the year that I came, it was completed.

  • So I loved, I loved going over that bridge that's closer to get the Chicago island that goes over Awaji island.

  • And then there's um, the great Seto bridge, which is also super awesome.

  • I remember taking a look at it when I was doing training in 1998 to, for the um, uh, Children's teaching job.

  • I was doing that was based in Okayama and that was a cool looking bridge.

  • Now, this is the first time they drive over it.

  • I've only gone over it twice by train, which is also cool.

  • Now if you want to get to coach E Prefecture, the easiest way from Tokyo is to fly.

  • You can take a train, but it's kind of far for those that don't want to fly or you have a Japan rail pass, you switch at Okayama.

  • Um, Flying is pretty cheap though.

  • They do have a, they used to have, I don't know if Jetstar still operating, but they had a lot of budget airlines that flew from Narita to Coach E.

  • Uh, and uh, that took like 1975 to 90 minutes I believe.

  • So it was really quick and coaching airports not too far away from the city center.

  • So you can just jump on, jump on public transportation would be in the center of coaching in like 2.5 hours, which is crazy fast.

  • But I think um, if you do take a train, it's also an adventure.

  • You go through Okayama and uh, there's a direct train from there that will take you to coach E uh, I believe there's an ample amount train used to be.

  • That was really cool.

  • Looking on the outside.

  • I think there was an emblem on playroom too for kids and that take it to coach station with some beautiful stops along the way cut straight through coach She Coco island on this trip.

  • I introduced it in the video before, but I'm gonna be going to a place called idea and the idea is in the center of Shikoku and Tokushima Prefecture, but it's on the way to coach E and I'm gonna be spending the night there in an unsent uh, Yo con, I really wish I could come, but I'm moving so quickly.

  • It's better if, if it's just me, I do wish I did have a co reporter or somebody with me on here.

  • How you doing?

  • I see, I see some people in the chat here, not the road, not too busy.

  • zero km turn left, all right, Gotta turn left here.

  • I do want to hit that service area though.

  • Uh, this is the, the Kansai region and I kind of dig what what coach is doing right now.

  • The governor of coaching prefecture uh, is from from, from Osaka.

  • Originally from Osaka.

  • He's now governor of coach.

  • Very good, very business minded.

  • He uh, I think attracting visitors coaches kind of off of the beaten path, attracting visitors who are in the kansai region.

  • I think um, to come to coach is really smart because I think if you look at all of Japan, the kansai region is stacked.

  • You got kyoto Osaka, you got Nada, you have Himeji castle not too far away.

  • A little bit off there.

  • You got Colbert, you've got the Kashi Kikyo, Hashi Takashi, which is the best um, octopus in Japan.

  • Uh, and when I entered Osaka, the navigation system, it's uh showed Osaka and it showed a picture of Tako Yaki turn, how cool is that?

  • Take the urban expressway.

  • Okay, so I gotta take a left here.

  • Mhm.

  • I got to follow the instructions.

  • I wonder if I put in the right destination.

  • I hope I'm not going out to like you wanna go or something.

  • All right.

  • You can see the sign for Osaka Airport.

  • I think that's Tommy.

  • Right.

  • Mhm.

  • Mhm, mm hmm.

  • It is a little shaky.

  • Uhh This lens here.

  • Okay, turning left in 300 m turn right, Okay.

  • So I want to stay in the right lane.

  • Okay.

  • Mhm.

  • Something We're going to take a to turn right, then slowly right, slowly turn right.

  • We're skipping Osaka city.

  • That's on the left.

  • You can see Osaka city turn right.

  • I did.

  • The toll gate is, there's another toll.

  • How much is it?

  • Oh man.

  • They really milk you.

  • Is ahead $1,990 20.

  • It said 1900 and here it said 1300.

  • So, I don't know what the real prices this is.

  • Osaka.

  • Look, there's a love hotel over there.

  • All right.

  • There's a lot of them boy, a lot of love in this area.

  • The tolls in Japan are really expensive, but there's just, I don't know, I don't mind.

  • I do mind paying it, but I don't mind as much because if you're taking the train all the time driving is.

  • So you feel so much freedom Help I'm going the right direction.

  • It doesn't seem like the highway kind of scary.

  • I guess this is a wrap around because of the construction?

  • Mm hmm.

  • Education I still go into, okay.

  • It's still taking me to Okayama.

  • But I'm not sure why I'm going this way.

  • It's weird.

  • You just so I got a second here.

  • You just kind of follow It is highway.

  • It's highway robbery, the toll.

  • But I don't know why I got off of the highway.

  • I thought I could just drive there directly.

  • I don't know.

  • I don't even know where yukata is.

  • Just go straight done now.

  • I don't like traffic.

  • Nobody likes traffic set for cops because then they can ticket people.

  • Yeah, I've been driving down for two years and I just find that is so much whenever you get a chance to, it's so much easier.

  • Especially for location shoots because I travel with, you know, I got drone cameras, tripods.

  • I got lights with me.

  • Um, I have a lot of equipment for this trip.

  • It's, I just put in the trunk, But this car that I'm driving is pretty sweet.

  • I showed a little bit of it and I edited that video in like an hour or 30 minutes before I started to drive from Kyoto, the premier that I showed before.

  • This is a RAC four.

  • This is a pretty sweet car.

  • I'm kind of enjoying the experience driving this.

  • I don't know.

  • I can't understand why I'm going in this direction.

  • Can somebody tell me somebody help me?

  • All right just stay instead of course.

  • Yeah the Rav four is really nice and I don't I've never driven a that's not true.

  • I drove the Camper van with Greg about a year and a half ago.

  • We drove the Fukushima in a camper van and that was really stressful because it's such a big car driving through the narrow streets of Tokyo.

  • But here's the thing right, if you get a smaller car you can navigate, are there any rental rental self driving cars by?

  • I don't think so.

  • There's no rental self driving cars that I know of yet but hey Chicago Africans here, how you doing?

  • Yeah That'd be pretty cool if there were I rent one.

  • The smaller cars are good because they take up less less um fuel but they're also easier to drive especially if you're driving in the city.

  • If you're driving out on the highways like I am today it makes a lot of sense to maybe get something a little bit more comfortable.

  • Um So they do have an economy class which is I guess it's something like 50 50 to $60 a day but if you upgrade another $15 you get economy plus and those cars are usually a little bit more spacious and if you're driving long distances you probably want to go that route but I noticed on the app there's the cars and then there's like an Suv truck thing and I didn't notice that for the first year and then I pushed it.

  • I discovered these mini mini SUVs that they have, which are looking really cool and I rented one for the first time last year going to Niigata and I loved driving it.

  • It was just so much fun.

  • Why aren't I going on that expressway?

  • I don't understand, I don't, I don't understand where it's not taking me on that.

  • What should I do?

  • It's confusing.

  • But my next destination is going to be in Okayama.

  • Either I'm going to live stream the great setup bridge or I'm going to go to Kojima, which is very famous for being a town, um, with jeans, they make the, they say the best genes in the world.

  • I, I kind of agree because they look really good, at least on the models they did.

  • So I'm gonna, I'm either gonna stop there.

  • I'm gonna live stream the great set of bridge.

  • You guys can leave a comment in the, in the comments below if there's one that you prefer to see.

  • But driving over the great set of bridge, I'm not sure how the signal is going to be, but it's worth giving it a shot and tonight will be an idea and uh, if I can, I'll try to bring you some images from, uh, the place that I'm staying at or the town in the morning and then in the next day, the second day I'll be going to a fish market, which is gonna be pretty nice.

  • The fish market owner is, is going to give us an interview and show us around.

  • So that's, that's a nice way to get an introduction to coach Prefecture and the hospitality of coca because people are a little bit friendly when you get out of the city center.

  • Alright, everybody, I'm out of here.

  • I'm gonna drive as safe as I can and focus on the road.

  • Um, you do too.

  • And I'll see you again really soon on this driving to coach a special series 34 days of live streams from Kyoto to Cokie.

  • Thanks for joining me.

  • I'll see you really soon.

  • I really, I really hope I'm going in the right direction.

  • If I'm not, somebody call me, let me know how fast will it go right now.

  • Not very fast at all.

  • It's supposed to take five hours to get the coach.

  • E I've already been in the car for like 2.5 and I don't know what's going on.

  • I'm only in Osaka killed us.

  • Not even that far away.

  • All right.

  • Better get to it.

  • This is who wrote that.

  • Tokyo drift comments.

  • All right.

  • I gotta get out of here.
